As a result of investigation on architectonics of structural organization of the brain neocortex in dolphin, frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital regions, as well as certain fields were distinguished. Monotonous character and incomplete stratification of the neocortical lamina, lack of clear border line and similarity with interstitial formations demonstrate symbolic meaning of the word neocortex as it is applied to the cetacean brain. The investigation was undertaken to determine the quantitative estimation of the degree of vertical organization of the III layer pyramidal neurons of areas 41, 22, 17 and 18 of the human cortex auditory and visual analyzers by information methods. A brief description of the used methods of getting the evaluation (the index of organization -- Org) has been given. It has been shown that the suggested estimation in invariant with regard to the individual changes of the human brain parameters.

Specific features of the structure of the vestibular complex of Cetaceans correlating with specific features of the structural functional organization of these representatives of aquatic mammals were detected in a cytoarchitectonic investigation of the topography and strucutral organization of nuclei of the vestibular complex performed in Delphinus delphis and compared with the organization of the corresponding structures of the brain of man and chimpanzee.
