Unlabelled: This study investigates the anatomical prerequisites that could contribute to the development of this condition.

Material And Methods: Using multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT), the study examined the structure and relationships of key anatomical features, including the alveolar process, sinus wall thickness, and the position of the teeth in relation to the maxillary sinus.

Results: The results revealed that the lower wall of the maxillary sinus is predominantly formed by the alveolar process, with significant variability in wall thickness, especially between the central and lateral regions.

Article Synopsis
  • Cytochrome CYP102A1 (P450 BM3) from Priestia megaterium is a promising candidate for directed evolution due to its unique functions and ability to hydroxylate androstanes into bioactive products.
  • The study focused on expressing a mutant form of this enzyme, CYP102A1-LG23, in Mycolicibacterium smegmatis BD, achieving successful conversion of androst-4-ene-3,17-dione into 7β-OH-AD.
  • Co-expressing the mutant enzyme with glucose dehydrogenase (GDH) led to a significant increase in hydroxylation yield, demonstrating the potential for engineered bacteria to produce valuable steroid compounds.

Background: Status epilepticus (SE) is characterized by continuous course of clinical and/or electrographic epileptic seizures. There are little data on the course and outcomes of SE after resection of brain tumors.

Objective: To analyze clinical and electrographic manifestations of SE, its course and outcomes in short-term period after resection of brain tumors.
