Unlabelled: The importance of identifying pathological changes in the liver both in fundamental researches and in diagnostic practice dictates the necessity to have a convenient method of assessing functional condition of resident macrophages and connective tissue fibers. is to assess the technology of combined histo-immunohistochemical detection of collagen fibers of connective tissue and resident liver macrophages using aniline blue histological stain and available antibodies to the microglial marker, the Iba-1 protein.
Materials And Methods: Liver samples from adult rats (n=6) have been used in the study.
The choroid plexus of the cerebral ventricles is a highly vascularized villous structure that produces cerebrospinal fluid, forms the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier and regulates the exchange of biologically active molecules between blood and cerebrospinal fluid. The purpose of the work was to study the distribution of collagen fibers in the choroid plexus and determine the presence of type IV collagen in their composition. To identify collagen fibers, preparations were stained with aniline blue; the localization of type IV collagen was determined by immunohistochemistry.

Sodium-glucose co-transporter type 2 inhibitors (SGLT-2i) have been proven to have advantages for cardiovascular system, but their effect on the central nervous system (CNS) has not been studied enough.
Aim: To study empagliflozin effect on CNS damage functional and laboratory parameters in patients with type 2 DM and, under experimental conditions, to investigate the mechanisms of the drug neurotropic effect.
Resident macrophages of different organs have structural and functional features, which can complicate their identification and analysis. A promising candidate for the role of a universal immunohistochemical marker of resident macrophages is the calcium-binding protein Iba-1, a well-known marker of brain microglia. The purpose of this work was to study the possibility of using one variant of antibodies to the Iba-1 protein for the immunohistochemical detection of resident macrophages in the liver, myocardium, lung, and choroid plexus of the rat brain.
