Objectives: The aims of the study are to characterize children with mental and behavioral health conditions (MBH) transported by emergency medical services (EMS) and examine differences in patient, emergency department (ED), and EMS transport characteristics based on restraint interventions during EMS transport.

The first example of sonodynamic therapy (SDT) with a cyanine dye-antibody conjugate is reported. The aim of this study was to evaluate the sonodynamic efficacy of a trastuzumab-guided diiodinated heptamethine cyanine-based sensitizer, versus its non-iodinated counterpart, , in a human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive (HER2+) xenograft model. In addition, the combined sonodynamic and photodynamic (PDT) effects were investigated.

Drug use is prevalent in prisons with drugs associated with depressant effects found to be more prevalent than stimulants. Synthetic cathinones (SCats; often sold as "bath salts", "ecstasy", "molly", and "monkey dust") are the second largest category of new psychoactive substances (NPS) currently monitored by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) and are commonly used as substitutes for regulated stimulants, such as amphetamine, cocaine, and MDMA. N,N-dimethylpentylone (also known as dimethylpentylone, dipentylone, and bk-DMBDP) was detected for the first time in the Scottish prisons in seven powder samples seized between January and July 2023.

Objective: We aimed to understand transport utilization trends, demographics, emergency department (ED) interventions, and outcomes of pediatric mental and behavioral health (MBH) patients transported by emergency medical services (EMS), police, or self-transported.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study utilized electronic health record data from patients aged 5 to 18 years presenting with acute MBH conditions at 2 affiliated pediatric EDs from January 2012 to December 2020. Data included demographics, ED interventions for aggression/agitation, Brief Rating of Aggression by Children and Adolescents (BRACHA) scores, and ED dispositions.
