Article Synopsis
  • Fractional flow reserve (FFR) and nonhyperemic pressure ratios (NHPRs) have been key in evaluating coronary stenosis, but using pressure wires for measurement can be challenging for some patients. The new vessel fractional flow reserve (vFFR) aims to provide a wire-free alternative derived from 3D angiography.* -
  • A retrospective study analyzed data from 90 lesions in 74 patients to compare vFFR and NHPR in diagnosing coronary stenosis, with FFR ≤0.80 as the benchmark. Results showed vFFR had high diagnostic accuracy similar to NHPRs across various clinical conditions.* -
  • The findings indicate that vFFR is effective for identifying significant coronary stenosis

Somatosensory impairment is common in patients who have had a stroke and can affect their motor function and activities of daily living (ADL). Therefore, detecting and treating somatosensory impairments properly is considered to be very important, and various examinations have been developed. However, the reliability and validity of few of them have been verified due to differences in the procedure of each examiner or poor quantification by the examination itself.
