Isolation and Characterization of Human Myoblast Culture In Vitro for Technologies of Cell and Gene Therapy of Skeletal Muscle Pathologies.

We analyzed cultures of 5 independent myoblast lines from human skeletal muscles. It was shown that the content of desmin-positive cells in cultures at early passages exceeds 90%. Typical morphofunctional signs of myogenic differentiation disturbances were identified and their dynamics was studied.

[Proteolytic signaling mechanisms in skeletal muscles in patients with alcohol-induced muscle disease].

Chronic alcoholic myopathy is one of most numerous and profound manifestations of chronic alcohol intoxication. This disease is characterized by the pronounced atrophy of the locomotor muscles, which involves predominantly those fibers expressing myosin isoforms of the I "fast" type. In early experiments with alcohol-fed rats and studies of patients it was shown the impairment of the anabolic intracellular signaling pathways and decrease in protein synthesis rate.

[Expression of genes involved in retinoic acid biosynthesis in human gastric cancer].

All-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA) is the main biologically active metabolite of retinol (vitamin A) that is required for the regulation of such processes as embryogenesis, tissue differentiation, proliferation, and others. Multiple alcohol, retinol and retinaldehyde dehydrogenases (ADHs, RDHs and RALDHs) as well as aldo-keto reductases (AKRs) catalyze the biosynthesis of retinoic acid in humans. For many normal and neoplastic tissues, the key ATRA-synthesizing enzymes remain unknown.

[Interconnection of the angiopathy and neuropathy development mechanism at patients with type II pancreatic diabetes].

In the article we summarized literature data, covered genesis of angiopathy and neuropathy at patients with type II diabetes. In the genesis of disease different metabolic, immune, hypoxic, genetic and others factors, caused affection of arteries, microcirculation and the peripheral nervous system, play an important role. Increasing changes of the great and minute vessels are interconnected with diabetic neuropathy

[Downregulation of AKR1B10 gene expression in colorectal cancer].

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. In our work changes of AKR1B1 and AKR1B10 gene expression levels in colorectal tumors were studied. Their potential diagnostic value was previously shown for several other cancer types.
