[THE STRUCTURE OF THE ILEUM AFTER THE RESECTION OF LIVER PARENCHYMA].

The ileum was morphologically examined in 45 sexually mature white male rats, which were divided into 3 groups: I group included 15 intact animals, II - 15 rats, in which 31.5% of the liver parenchyma was removed, III - 15 animals after resection 58,1% of liver parenchyma. Euthanasia of rats was performed by bloodletting under the conditions of thiopental anesthesia 1 month after the beginning of the experiment.

[Antiatherogenic and nephroprotective efficacy of atorvastatin in patients with chronic renal disease of non-diabetic origin].

This study designed to elucidate dynamics of lipid metabolism and HbA(1c) level, uricemia, and renal function in 54 patients with chronic renal disease (CRD) of non-diabetic genesis treated by standard cardioprotective therapy in combination with atorvastatin. The patients were divided in two groups with glomerular filtration rate (GFR) < 60 ml/min (n = 31) and = > 60 ml/min. The former were given 20 mg atorvastatin/day.

[A pathogenetic validation of a method for correcting portal hypertension].

The correction method of portal hypertension, basing on the blood circulation flow reduction in the main abdominal cavity arterial vessels, was elaborated in experiments on dogs. The functional and morphological changes in vascular bed and the abdominal cavity organs after the portal hypertension modelling and its surgical correction were studied up.
