Background: It is quite common that people suffering from cognitive impairment only visit a doctor when the symptoms have already reached an advanced stage. This is often due to a fear of Alzheimer’s disease or a dread of exhausting diagnostic procedures and exposure of personal details; however, an early diagnosis and therapy increases the chance of preserving the quality of life for a longer period of time.
Objectives: Evaluation of a risk assessment for Alzheimer’s disease by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with respect to the acceptance and value by participants.
Background: Therapy-induced leukopenias with corresponding consequences repeatedly occur in radiotherapy using combined modalities treatment. In radiotherapy, where G-CSF (granulocyte-colony-stimulating-factor) is not licensed, G-CSF has been used successfully under individual circumstances. These results were confirmed in several studies with small patient groups.

Purpose: The significance of the recumbent chest x-ray using digital luminescence radiography was to be assessed in respect of diagnosis of pleural effusions.
Material And Methods: Three experienced radiologists evaluated 32 digital recumbent chest x-rays of 32 intensive-care patients. The radiologists were asked to estimate the effusion volume and to assess whether typical x-ray signs of pleural effusions were seen.
Purpose: Volumetric changes of cervical lymph nodes during radiotherapy (RT) should be evaluated with B-mode sonography. It was our intention to test whether ultrasound could be used for therapeutic monitoring.
Method: 30 lymph nodes of 20 patients were measured.
