Fragment-based screening is an efficient method for early-stage drug discovery. In this study, we aimed to create a fragment library optimized for producing high hit rates against RNA targets. RNA has historically been an underexplored target, but recent research suggests potential for optimizing small molecule libraries for RNA binding.

Adaptation and Validation of an Evaluation Instrument for Student Assessment of Veterinary Clinical Teaching.

There is a dearth of validated instruments for assessing clinical teaching in veterinary education. This study describes the development and validation of a veterinary-adapted Stanford Faculty Development Program 26 (SFDP-Vet22) instrument for student evaluation of veterinary clinical educators. Validity evidence was gathered in three specific categories: (a) content, (b) response process, and (c) internal structure.

Aging Processes of Working Memory in Different Modalities.

: Working memory (WM) involves temporarily storing and manipulating information. Research on the impact of aging on WM has shown inconsistent results regarding the decline in visual and verbal WM, with a lack of studies on tactile WM. This study aimed to assess the effects of aging on WM across verbal, visuospatial, and tactile modalities using span tasks of forward (storage) and backward (manipulation) stages.

Delivery of the returnees from captivity by the Red Cross to military mental and medical professionals until they transfer to the medical staff in the hospitals and meetings with their families is a decisive challenge for the returnees and the professionals. The absorption time places the returnees in an exposed and vulnerable situation, in an intermediate space between captivity and reintegration into reality. The feelings of terror, the helplessness, and the danger to life that accompanied the kidnapping and the stay in captivity may develop into situations related to survival and adaptation to the conditions of captivity, including life-saving strategies.

Plekhm2 acts as an autophagy modulator in murine heart and cardiofibroblasts.

Plekhm2 is a protein regulating endosomal trafficking and lysosomal distribution. We recently linked a recessive inherited mutation in PLEKHM2 to a familial form of dilated cardiomyopathy and left ventricular non-compaction. These patients' primary fibroblasts exhibited abnormal lysosomal distribution and autophagy impairment.
