The purpose of the study is to optimize monitoring and personalize antihypertensive therapy in patients with severe ischemic cerebral stroke (ICS). We examined 37 patients with ICS, average age 74,1±1,3 years, who received treatment in intensive care wards of the stroke department with general neurology beds of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "City Hospital № 9" of the Zaporizhzhia City Council. There were 16 men (43,2%), average age 71,9±2,1 years; women - 21 (56,8%), average age 75,8±1.

Neurodegenerative disorders are conditions that result from cellular and metabolic abnormalities, many of which have strong genetic ties. While ageing is a known contributor to these changes, certain neurodegenerative disorders can manifest early in life, progressively affecting a person's quality of life.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFRegressive course of neurological signs and symptoms is an important factor of evaluating the clinical course and treatment efficacy of traumatic brain injury. This article presents changes evaluation of focal and brainstem symptoms in 200 patients with traumatic brain injury, and determines the association between these changes and the -675 4G/5G polymorphism in the PAI-1 gene. We have found a connection between 4G/4G and 4G/5G genotypes for the studied polymorphism and the changes of focal and brainstem symptoms in patients with traumatic brain injury.
