Background: Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is an inflammatory subtype of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and recent non-invasive test, MACK-3, demonstrated good diagnostic characteristics for fibrosis in several studies. The aim of our study was to assess the liver state using the non-invasive MACK-3 Test, and its link with liver fibrosis stage, inflammatory activity, steatosis, and metabolic markers in NAFLD patients with hypertension (HT).
Methods: Thirty adult NAFLD patients with HT, aged 30 to 60 years (mean age 46.
Background: The initial stage of the biosynthesis of steroid hormones in animals occurs in the mitochondria of steroidogenic tissues, where cytochrome P450 (CYP11A1) encoded by the CYP11A1 gene catalyzes the conversion of cholesterol into pregnenolone - the general precursor of all the steroid hormones, starting with progesterone. This stage is missing in plants where mitochondrial cytochromes P450 (the mito CYP clan) have not been found. Generating transgenic plants with a mitochondrial type P450 from animals would offer an interesting option to verify whether plant mitochondria could serve as another site of P450 monooxygenase reaction for the steroid hormones biosynthesis.

Objective: Despite the importance of blood flow regulation (BFR) in cerebral vessels, in particular, during organism development, there is no studies in children in the first weeks of life. We studied biochemical autoregulation of blood flow in infants born at 24-25 weeks of gestation.
Material And Methods: Eighteen infants with body mass 763±138 g were included in the study.
Otorhinolaryngological examination makes it possible to objectively evaluate the state of ENT organs in prematurely born babies, take adequate measures to ensure their survival, undertake early prevention of ENT pathologies, carry out rehabilitation in case of post-resuscitation or congenital complications, and form groups of children selected for the follow-up and further treatment by an otorhinolaryngologist.
