Background: The emergence of COVID-19 had a massive impact on the health system globally. While there are many kinds of literature reporting the impact on postgraduate medical training in other parts of the world, this cannot be said about Nigeria.

Methodology: This was a national cross-sectional study among Resident doctors via an online google form survey for 8-months.

A rare case of Gardner syndrome in an African adult male: A case report.

Gardner's syndrome with the complete manifestation of colonic and extracolonic features is uncommon. Therefore, every clinician should view extracolonic features with a high index of suspicion. This may be key to early diagnosis, definitive management in these patients and importantly, helps prevent malignant transformation of existing colonic polyps.

Inequality on the frontline: A multi-country study on gender differences in mental health among healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Healthcare workers (HCWs) were at increased risk for mental health problems during the COVID-19 pandemic, with prior data suggesting women may be particularly vulnerable. Our global mental health study aimed to examine factors associated with gender differences in psychological distress and depressive symptoms among HCWs during COVID-19. Across 22 countries in South America, Europe, Asia and Africa, 32,410 HCWs participated in the COVID-19 HEalth caRe wOrkErS (HEROES) study between March 2020 and February 2021.

Predicting Pain Intensity after Mandibular Third Molar Surgery using Cold Pressor Testing: A Quasi-Experimental Study.

Background: Patients complain differently about their experiences of post-operative pain. However, clinicians are often guided by their own viewpoints despite the highly subjective nature of pain resulting in suboptimal post-operative pain management. This impacts negatively on the quality of life of patients in the immediate post-operative period.

ADJUNCT MUSIC THERAPY AND HAEMODYNAMIC BALANCE IN MANDIBULAR THIRD MOLAR SURGERY: A RANDOMIZED CLINICAL STUDY.

Introduction: There are conflicting evidences that music can improve psychoemotional stability and haemodynamic changes during surgeries, as well as improve doctor-patient relationship and the overall clinical outcome. This method is cheaper, devoid of side effects of drugs and provides a memorable experience to patient.

Aim: This study sets out to investigate the effect of adjunct music therapy on haemodynamic changes in patients undergoing transalveolar mandibular third molar surgery in a tertiary hospital in southwest Nigeria.
