[Neurologic disorders in chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities (clinico-electroneuromyographic study)].

Using combined clinical-electroneuromyographic examinations of 161 patients with varicose or postthrombotic veins, the changes in the nervous system related to chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities were studied. The following neurologic syndromes secondary to regional hemodynamic disorders were identified: polyneuropathic, mononeuropathic, lumbar-sacral radiculitis. Neurologic disorders were found to be correlated with the degree of the chronic venous insufficiency decompensation.
