The effect of selection for radius vein length on the distribution of hybridization sites of the P and hobo transposons and the mdgl and mdg2 retrotransposons on polytene chromosomes of Drosophila melanogaster salivary glands was studied. The patterns of these transposable elements (TEs) distribution were polymorphic in both the parental strain and selected strains. The similarity in mdg1 and mdg2 patterns between strains selected in one direction was closer than between strains selected in opposite directions, but the selected strains were closer to each other than to the parental strain regardless of selection direction.

The results of four selection-genetic experiments aimed at the genetic transformation of the quantitative trait controlled by the radius incompletus gene of Drosophila melanogaster are given. Directional (s+) and (s-)-selection was conducted. At the of end all the experiments, in (s+)-selection the radial vein of the wing was restored to the wild phenotype, in (s-)-selection complete elimination of the radial vein took place.

Parameters of hemostasis and urine fibrinolysis were studied in the ontogenesis of 56 normal newborns aged from 3 to 28 days. The data obtained and the correlation analysis made have shown significant changes in the hemostasis system in the ontogenesis. The neonatal period is characterized by stage changes in the hemostasis system that reflect the processes of adaptation for intrauterine existence, hypocoagulation being changed by mild hypercoagulation followed by coagulation formation by the end of the first month of life.

An ontogenetic study of parameters of anticoagulative and fibrinolytic system in the blood and urine was carried out on 56 healthy newborn infants at the age of 3 to 28 days. The obtained data and the performed correlation analysis of the coagulative system showed that there was acceleration of fibrinolysis in blood on the background of increased antiplasmatic activity of the blood, RKFM and the concentration of fibrinogen B in blood plasma; the inhibitory activity of the urine, fibrinolytic activity of the urine and the content of PDF in urine were reduced in comparison with the same parameters in older infants. Maximal statistically significant correlation dependences were established during the first week of life of newborn infants.
