An archaeoparasitological analysis of the soil samples from Nadym Gorodok site of Western Siberia has been carried out in this study. The archaeological site was dated as the 13 to 18th century, being characterized as permafrost region ensuring good preservation of ancient parasite eggs. Parasite eggs as Opisthorchis felineus, Alaria alata, and Diphyllobothrium sp.

Aim Of The Study: To determine efficacy of surgical management for vertebrobasilar insufficiency (VBI) associated with pathological passage of the vertebral artery (VA) within the bone canal.

Materials And Methods: Over the period from 2003 to 2008, a total of twenty-five patients with no effect of conservative therapy during 6 months were subjected to reconstruction of the VA in the 3rd segment. The access to the artery was obtained in a manner similar to that used in reconstruction of the carotid arteries, without intersecting the nodding muscle.

The gravitropism of protonemata of Pohlia nutans is described and compared with that of other mosses. In darkness, protonemata showed negative gravitropism. Under uniform illumination they grew radially over the substrate surface, whereas unilateral illumination induced positive phototropic growth.
