Establishment of Novel High-Grade Serous Ovarian Carcinoma Cell Line OVAR79.

High-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC) remains the most common and deadly form of ovarian cancer. However, available cell lines usually fail to appropriately represent its complex molecular and histological features. To overcome this drawback, we established OVAR79, a new cell line derived from the ascitic fluid of a patient with a diagnosis of HGSOC, which adds a unique set of properties to the study of ovarian cancer.

Consortium of 2029 and 7247 Strains Shows In Vitro Bactericidal Effect on and, in Combination with Prebiotic, Protects Against Intestinal Barrier Dysfunction.

(CJ) is the etiological agent of the world's most common intestinal infectious food-borne disease, ranging from mild symptoms to fatal outcomes. The development of innovative synbiotics that inhibit the adhesion and reproduction of multidrug-resistant (MDR) CJ in animals and humans, thereby preserving intestinal homeostasis, is relevant. We have created a synbiotic based on the consortium of 2029 (LC2029), 7247 (LS7247), and a mannan-rich prebiotic (Actigen).

Newborn morbidities and care procedures at the special newborn care units of Gandaki Province, Nepal: a retrospective study.

Background: Despite recent improvements in the overall health status of Nepal's population, newborn morbidities and mortalities have remained a challenge. This study explores the situation and care strategies for newborn health problems in the Gandaki Province of Nepal.

The article is devoted to the problems of implementation of the WHO Global Polio Eradication Initiative. The influence of the features of poliovirus infection and poliovirus vaccines on the course of the program, its successes and difficulties is considered, the issue of possibility of eradication this infection is discussed.
