Objective: To assess the profile of metabolic syndrome (MS) in a hypertensive population in Mali.
Patients And Methods: Prospective study from June 1, 2022 to June 31, 2022, in the cardiology department of the Mother-Child University Hospital in Bamako, Luxembourg. Our study sample consisted of adult hypertensive patients, aged 18 years and older, received as an outpatient.
Background: The current first-line treatments for uncomplicated malaria recommended by the National Malaria Control Programme in Mali are artemether-lumefantrine (AL) and artesunate-amodiaquine (ASAQ). From 2015 to 2016, an in vivo study was carried out to assess the clinical and parasitological responses to AL and ASAQ in Sélingué, Mali.
Methods: Children between 6 and 59 months of age with uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum infection and 2000-200,000 asexual parasites/μL of blood were enrolled, randomly assigned to either AL or ASAQ, and followed up for 42 days.
Objectives: to identify the main causative agents of infection associated with care and their susceptibility to antibiotics used and to identify risk factors for care-associated infection.
Material And Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with prospective data collection, conducted from 1 November 2016 to 1 April 2017 among all children admitted to the pediatric surgery department. Non-consenting parents and cases of necrosectomy were included in this study.
Introduction: Bladder and ureteral lesions are the most common urologic complications occurring during pelvic surgery with 1% and 0.5% to 3%, respectively. These lesions are rarely recognized intraoperatively and pose a major problem to urologists, gynecologists, and general surgeons.

Methods: In a transversal and prospective study from April to June 2014, all parkinsonian patients followed at the Fann Teaching Hospital Neurology Clinic (Dakar, Senegal) were assessed using the Hoehn and Yahr's scale and filled out the following questionnaires: Parkinson's disease sleep scale (PDSS), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS).
