Purpose: To analyse risk factors and visual performances of glaucomatous eyes with glistening in the intra-ocular lens (IOL).
Methods: Prospective study performed between November 2010 and April 2011 and involving 67 consecutive glaucomatous eyes (47 patients), who previously had a phacoemulsification with a hydrophobic acrylic IOL implanted in the capsular bag. Glistening was classified in three groups of severity grade: G0 (<50 microvacuoles per mm(2) ), G1 (50-150 microvacuoles per mm(2) ), and G2 (>150 microvacuoles per mm(2) ).
Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze the interactions during femtosecond (fs) laser photodisruption in ex vivo porcine crystalline lenses and to study the parameters for laser interaction optimization.
Methods: An experimental femtosecond laser was used. The laser characteristics were: 1030 nm wavelength; pulse duration, 400 fs; and numerical aperture, 0.
