Maximizing phonation: impact of inspiratory muscle strengthening on vocal durations and pitch range.

Background: This study investigated the acute effects of inspiratory muscle warm-up (IWU) on vocal performance in singers. Proper vocal and respiratory warm-up can enhance vocal range, quality, and endurance. The aim was to determine whether IWU improves maximum phonation time and pitch range, contributing to better voice production efficiency (vocal efficiency) and reduced fatigue.

Midterm Effects of SARS-CoV-2 on Respiratory Function in Judokas With and Without Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction: A Retrospective Study.

Objectives: The clinical consequences of coronavirus infection in elite judokas with exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) are unclear. We aimed to determine potential respiratory function abnormalities and recovery in athletes with and without EIB after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.

The prolonged consequences of SARS-CoV-2 on young elite athletes recovering from primary and reinfection are unclear. This study aimed to assess inspiratory/expiratory muscle strength and respiratory function at the time of spontaneous recovery at 3, 6, and 9 months after SARS-CoV-2 primary and reinfection in elite athletes. The study enrolled 25 elite male judoists, including 11 primary infection cases, five reinfection cases, and nine controls from the Türkiye Olympic Preparation Center.

Outcome and Factors Related to Isolated Liver Metastasis due to Breast Cancer.

Primary pancreatic hydatid disease: A rare presentation of echinococcosis.

Hydatid disease is a zoonotic parasitic disease which rarely involves pancreas primarily. Diagnosis of pancreatic hydatid cyst is a challenge and operative skills are important to avoid spillage of cyst's content.
