Unlabelled: To assess the association between postnatal growth and neurodevelopment at the age of 2 years in extremely low gestational age newborns (ELGAN, < 28 weeks' gestation). Retrospective population-based cohort study including all live born ELGAN in 2006-2012 in Switzerland. Growth parameters (weight, length, head circumference, body mass index) were assessed at birth, at hospital discharge home, and 2-year follow-up (FU2).

A novel weight gain-based prediction model was developed by the G-ROP study group to increase the specificity of the screening criteria and keep the number of ophthalmic examinations as low as possible. This retrospective cohort study aimed to externally validate the G-ROP screening criteria in a Swiss cohort.

Achievement of a stone-free state through dissolution of residual fragments after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is a suitable model for investigating the litholytic activity of menthol.
Patients And Methods: After ESWL in patients with symptomatic gallbladder stones, the litholytic efficacy of the standard therapy of 125 mg urso-/chenodeoxycholic acid (UDC/CDC) per 25 kg body weight (UDC + CDC) was compared with that of 62.
A recently introduced set up of capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (cMUT) combines a conductive membrane above a structured sacrificial layer. All previous approaches either require an additional metallic electrode or do not possess a structured sacrificial layer and, consequently, may make exact adjustment of the membrane dimensions difficult. The present set ups are especially suited for the fabrication of cMUT with gap heights ranging between 50 nm and 2 microm between the electrodes.
