Background: Misfolding and aggregation of amyloid β (Aβ), along with neurofibrillary tangles consisting of aggregated Tau species, are pathological hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease (AD) onset and progression. In this study, we hypothesized the clearance of Aβ aggregates from the brain and body into the gut.

Methods: To investigate this, we used surface-based fluorescence intensity distribution analysis (sFIDA) to determine the Aβ aggregate concentrations in feces from 26 AD patients and 31 healthy controls (HC).

Objective: To evaluate the ocular effects of "Bonzai", a synthetic cannabinoid (SC), in seropositive and seronegative users.

Methods: Sixty eyes of 60 consecutive male patients with a history of "Bonzai" use and 30 eyes of 30 age-matched male healthy controls were enrolled in this case-control study. Patients with past "Bonzai" use were grouped as seropositive (n:30) and seronegative (n:30) according to urine toxicology tests.

Background: The most prevalent malignancy among women is breast cancer (BC). MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play a role in the initiation and progression of BC by influencing breast cancer stem cells (BCSCs) but the diagnostic and prognostic roles of those miRNAs on BC patients are still unknown.
