The problem of timely final diagnosis, early initiation of treatment and optimal management of patients with malignant neoplasms is very actual. The purpose of the study is to analyze experience of managing patients with malignant neoplasms in the largest private medical organization. The sociological survey of 412 oncologists, surgeons, including coloproctologists and obstetrician-gynecologists working in clinics of Medsi Group of Companies in Moscow and Moscow Oblast was carried out.

Article Synopsis
  • - This study analyzes medical workers' attitudes towards disabled individuals and explores the importance of inclusive health care, referencing key documents from the UNO and WHO regarding human rights and health access.
  • - It highlights the role of physicians in supporting the psychological well-being of both physically and mentally disabled patients, emphasizing the need for medical professionals to help mobilize their psychological resources.
  • - The research suggests that physicians should encourage a more active lifestyle for disabled patients, challenging their limitations to promote social integration and inclusion, while fostering a humanistic and civic approach to health care.

Article Synopsis
  • Lipid membranes were created using DNA tethers that were attached to pyrene for functionalization and self-assembly with phospholipids, which resulted in uniform membranes verified by fluorescence microscopy.
  • High-energy X-ray reflectivity measured the membranes before and after hybridization, revealing that the tilting of DNA spacers was less than expected, indicating flexibility rather than a stiff upright structure.
  • Atomic force microscopy (AFM) showed that membranes with DNA tethers had higher resistance to compression compared to those without, while the unchanged yield depth implies that dsDNA can flexibly adjust its position due to the pliable pyrene-DNA connections.

Article Synopsis
  • Liquid metal catalysts, particularly liquid copper, have become important in efficiently synthesizing high-quality graphene through chemical vapor deposition, but the catalytic processes behind this are not well understood.
  • This study combines experimental observations and computational modeling to analyze how graphene grows on the liquid copper catalyst, particularly focusing on the effect of pressure ratios and temperatures on growth rates and shapes of graphene flakes.
  • Findings suggest that the growth mechanisms differ from those on solid catalysts, with factors like precursor attachment and availability playing key roles in enhancing graphene quality due to the unique properties of the liquid state.

The maximum range of perpendicular momentum transfer ( ) has been tripled for X-ray scattering from liquid surfaces when using a double-crystal deflector setup to tilt the incident X-ray beam. This is achieved by employing a higher-energy X-ray beam to access Miller indices of reflecting crystal atomic planes that are three times higher than usual. The deviation from the exact Bragg angle condition induced by misalignment between the X-ray beam axis and the main rotation axis of the double-crystal deflector is calculated, and a fast and straightforward procedure to align them is deduced.
