Objective: To explore youth Rugby Union coaches' preferences for education and support in the implementation of injury prevention programmes (IPPs).
Methods: Twelve Rugby Union coaches involved with youth teams participated in five online focus groups. Conventional content analysis was used to determine preferences initially from transcripts, and thereafter main categories, generic categories and sub-categories.
Objective: Medical laboratory data together with prescribing and hospitalisation records are three of the most used electronic health records (EHRs) for data-driven health research. In Scotland, hospitalisation, prescribing and the death register data are available nationally whereas laboratory data is captured, stored and reported from local health board systems with significant heterogeneity. For researchers or other users of this regionally curated data, working on laboratory datasets across regional cohorts requires effort and time.

Background And Hypothesis: Increased T cell IL-7Rα signaling is associated with a poorer prognosis in ANCA-associated vasculitis. These studies examined the functional role of IL-7Rα (CD127) in experimental glomerulonephritis mediated by anti-MPO T cell autoimmunity. We hypothesized that T cells would express IL-7Rα in the kidney and that blocking the function of IL-7Rα, without cellular depletion, would be protective.

Polymers are widely used in healthcare due to their biocompatibility and mechanical properties; however, the use of polymers in medical products can promote biofilm formation, which can be a source of hospital-acquired infections. Due to this, there is a rising demand for inherently antimicrobial polymers for devices in contact with patients. 3D printing as a manufacturing technology has increased exponentially in recent years.

Design: Secondary analysis of the RESTORE randomised controlled trial.
Participants: A total of 492 adults with low back pain for > 3 months with at least moderate pain-related activity limitation.
Intervention: Participants were allocated to CFT alone or CFT plus biofeedback; these two groups were combined for this secondary analysis.
In pathogenic Bacillota, spores can form an infectious particle and can take up a central role in the environmental persistence and dissemination of disease. A poorly understood aspect of spore-mediated infection is the fibrous structures or 'endospore appendages' (ENAs) that have been seen to decorate the spores of pathogenic Bacilli and Clostridia. Current methodological approaches are opening a window on these long enigmatic structures.

Design: A scoping review.
Data Sources: A literature search of four databases (CINAHL, Medline, Embase and Web of Science) was employed to map the evidence between January 2012 and April 2023 on the definition, categorization and measurement of social support in studies of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among nurses in hospital settings.
Implanted neural microelectrodes are an important tool for recording from and stimulating the cerebral cortex. The performance of chronically implanted devices, however, is often hindered by the development of a reactive tissue response. Previous computational models have investigated brain strain from micromotions of neural electrodes after they have been inserted, to investigate design parameters that might minimize triggers to the reactive tissue response.

Study Design: A quality improvement (QI) initiative was implemented at an academic tertiary care center in the United States of America for individuals with obstetric hypertensive emergencies. Statistical process control charts were utilized to track process measures and interventions tested through plan-do-study-act cycles.
Children with experience of maltreatment, abuse or neglect have higher prevalence of poor mental health. In the United Kingdom, child protection services identify children at risk of significant harm on the Child Protection Register (CPR) and intervene to reduce risk. Prevalence and incidence of mental health service use among this population of children are not well understood.

Several factors have been identified that link changes in the electrode-tissue interface (ETI) to increased impedance and degraded performance in micro- and macro-electrodes. Previous studies have demonstrated that brief pulses applied every few days can restore SNR to near baseline levels during microelectrode recordings in rodents, a process referred to as electrical rejuvenation.

Current guidance applies generically to all geometries with the caveat that post-curing should be extended for 'large' or 'complex' geometries but specific guidance is not provided. Two vat-polymerisation 3D printers (Form3B, Figure 4 Standalone) were used to print test models in 6 biocompatible resins (Pro Black, Med White, Med Amber, Biomed Black, Biomed White, Biomed Amber).

Milking routine practices evaluated referred to cow preparation for milking, in-lactation mastitis management, and recording. Dry cow management practices related to dry cow environment and cleaning, dry-off procedure, milk cessation strategy and calving environment.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional content analysis was performed to describe the treatments recommended on consumer websites for nonspecific back pain in adolescents.
Background: Becoming a parent is a transformative experience requiring multiple transitions, including the need to navigate several components of health care, manage any mental health issues, and develop and sustain an approach to infant feeding. Baby2Home (B2H) is a digital intervention built on the collaborative care model (CCM) designed to support families during these transitions to parenthood.
Objectives: We aim to investigate the effects of B2H on preventive healthcare utilization for the family unit and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) trajectories with a focus on mental health.
The gut microbiota and short chain fatty acids (SCFA) have been associated with immune regulation and autoimmune diseases. Autoimmune kidney diseases arise from a loss of tolerance to antigens, often with unclear triggers. In this review, we explore the role of the gut microbiome and how disease, diet, and therapy can alter the gut microbiota consortium.

Failure to do so can result in a failure of surgical treatment, recurrent infection and cardiac failure with concomitant high morbidity and mortality.
Case Report: We describe the case of a 45-year-old male with previous patch repair of a ventricular septal defect, who was diagnosed with sub-acute bacterial endocarditis of the native aortic valve and developed a new fistula from the aorta to the right ventricular outflow tract which.
Objectives: To determine the feasibility of completing a definitive randomised controlled trial (RCT), evaluating the clinical and cost-effectiveness of Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT) in comparison to usual physiotherapy care (UPC), for people with persistent low back pain (LBP).
Design And Setting: A two-arm parallel feasibility RCT completed in a United Kingdom (UK) Secondary Care National Health Service (NHS) physiotherapy service.

Blended tube feeding (BTF) is the administration of pureed whole foods via gastric feeding tubes. There is some evidence to suggest that BTF may have clinical and psychosocial benefits when compared to commercial formula, but further investigation of how BTF is understood and recommended by health professionals is needed. This study aims to investigate awareness and knowledge of BTF among multi-disciplinary paediatric staff in Ireland.
