We clustered over 600 million condition diagnoses from 14 million patients available through the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C), generating hundreds of highly detailed clinical phenotypes. Assessing patient clinical trajectories using these clusters allowed us to identify individual conditions and phenotypes strongly increased after acute infection.

Our primary aim was to develop an infant paralimbic-related subcortical-based semi-quantitative dysmaturation score, termed brain dysplasia score (BDS), to detect abnormalities in CHD infants compared to healthy controls and secondarily to predict clinical outcomes. However, whether mitochondrial DNA synthesis affects macrophage function and atherosclerosis pathology is not fully understood. Here we show, by transcriptomic analyzes of plaque macrophages, spatial single cell transcriptomics of atherosclerotic plaques, and functional experiments, that mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) synthesis in atherosclerotic plaque macrophages are triggered by vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1) under inflammatory conditions in both humans and mice.

We have quantified the accuracy and precision of four different multiplex panels (three human and one mouse) in tumor specimens with varying levels of T cell density. Our results show that Ultivue panels are typically accurate wherein the relative difference in cell proportion between a multiplex image and a 1-plex image is less than 20% for a given biomarker.

Purpose: To estimate the societal costs of untreated perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) in Vermont for the 2018-2020 average annual birth cohort from conception through five years postpartum.
Methods: We developed a cost analysis model to calculate the excess cases of outcomes attributed to PMADs in the state of Vermont. Then, we modeled the associated costs of each outcome incurred by birthing parents and their children, projected five years for birthing parents who do not achieve remission by the end of the first year postpartum.
The central nervous system (CNS) tightly regulates access of circulating immune cells. Immunosurveillance is therefore managed in the meninges at the borders of the CNS. Here, we demonstrated that mural cells, which include pericytes and smooth muscle cells, decreased coverage around blood vessels in the dura, the outermost layer of the meninges, and upregulated gene pathways involved in leukocyte migration in presymptomatic experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE).
