Methods: Women with stages III and IV EOC and PPC treated on the Gynecologic Oncology Group phase III trial, protocol 182, who completed eight cycles of carboplatin with paclitaxel were evaluated in this study. The patients were grouped per dose modification and use of granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF).
Background: There is recent evidence supporting the safety and efficacy of same-day dosing of pegfilgrastim in patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Objective: To determine the cost-effectiveness of pegfilgrastim on day 1 (D1) versus day 2 (D2) for primary prevention of neutropenia in women receiving chemotherapy.
Materials And Methods: A cost-utility model was designed comparing standard D2 versus D1 administration of pegfilgrastim to ovarian cancer patients receiving chemotherapy with an intermediate risk (10-15%) of febrile neutropenia (FN).

The aim of this paper is to report on the prevalence of and the potential risk factors (pre-pregnancy dyspareunia, mode of birth, perineal trauma and breastfeeding) for sexual health issues (dyspareunia, lack of vaginal lubrication and a loss of interest in sexual activity) at 6 and 12 months postpartum.
Methods: A longitudinal cohort study of 832 first-time mothers who were recruited in early pregnancy and returned postnatal surveys at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months postpartum were assessed for sexual health issues and associated risk factors.
Objective: Paclitaxel and carboplatin (PC) is a standard initial therapy for advanced endometrial cancer. We evaluated the efficacy and tolerability of incorporating three novel agents into initial therapy.
Methods: In this randomized phase II trial, patients with chemotherapy-naïve stage III/IVA (with measurable disease) and stage IVB or recurrent (with or without measurable disease) endometrial cancer were randomly assigned to treatment with PC plus bevacizumab (Arm 1), PC plus temsirolimus (Arm 2) or ixabepilone and carboplatin (IC) plus bevacizumab (Arm 3).

Methods: We used an anonymous computerized survey to assess approval of IPV materials and screening, and willingness to disclose IPV in response to screening among mothers bringing a child to an urban pediatric emergency department or 2 suburban pediatric urgent care centers affiliated with a free-standing academic children's hospital. We compared responses between participants recruited before and after display of the IPV materials, as well as between subgroups, using χ2 tests.
Purpose Uterine serous carcinoma is a rare, aggressive variant of endometrial cancer. Trastuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)/neu, a receptor overexpressed in 30% of uterine serous carcinoma. This multicenter, randomized phase II trial compared carboplatin-paclitaxel with and without trastuzumab in patients with advanced or recurrent uterine serous carcinoma who overexpress HER2/neu.

Methods: This is a post-trial ad hoc analysis of a phase 3 randomized clinical trial evaluating the impact of bevacizumab in primary and maintenance therapy for patients with advanced stage ovarian cancer following surgical cytoreduction. All subjects underwent imaging of the chest/abdomen/pelvis to establish a post-surgical baseline prior to the initiation of chemotherapy.

In pathologic specimen, Histoplasma capsulatum can frequently be identified by morphology and special stains such as GMS and PAS. Incidentally, we noted unusual staining of the platelet associated marker CD42b/GP1b expressed on the surface of fungal organisms. Evaluation of additional cases demonstrated that a majority of histoplasmosis cases (15/18 cases; 83%) showed positive staining with CD42b/GP1b, comparable to GMS stain results.

Some of these disorders are more characteristic of individuals in the pediatric age group (autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome, Kawasaki disease), while others present in older individuals (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, sarcoidosis). A common finding that groups all of these disorders together is the overall relative preservation of the architecture, a feature that can be particularly helpful to distinguish them from many B and T-cell lymphomas.

IgG4-related sclerosing disease, which now encompasses diverse organ-related disorders with various prior eponymic designations, may also present with solitary or multifocal lymph node enlargement. This review considers the histopathologic features of IgG4 lymphadenopathy (IgG4LAD), which has been subdivided by Cheuk & Chan into 5 microscopic subtypes. Those include variants that are typified by multicentric Castleman disease (MCD)-like changes, follicular hyperplasia, interfollicular lymphoplasmacytic proliferation, progressive transformation of germinal centers, and formation of inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT)-like lesions.

Design, Setting, And Participants: Comparative case study of 12 advanced primary care practices in the United States recruited from March 2015 to February 2017.
Background: Rucaparib, a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitor, has anticancer activity in recurrent ovarian carcinoma harbouring a BRCA mutation or high percentage of genome-wide loss of heterozygosity. In this trial we assessed rucaparib versus placebo after response to second-line or later platinum-based chemotherapy in patients with high-grade, recurrent, platinum-sensitive ovarian carcinoma.
Methods: In this randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial, we recruited patients from 87 hospitals and cancer centres across 11 countries.
Objective: An integrated analysis was undertaken to characterize the antitumor activity and safety profile of the oral poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitor rucaparib in patients with relapsed high-grade ovarian carcinoma (HGOC).
Methods: Eligible patients from Study 10 (NCT01482715) and ARIEL2 (NCT01891344) who received a starting dose of oral rucaparib 600mg twice daily (BID) with or without food were included in these analyses. The integrated efficacy population included patients with HGOC and a deleterious germline or somatic BRCA1 or BRCA2 (BRCA1/2) mutation who received at least two prior chemotherapies and were sensitive, resistant, or refractory to platinum-based chemotherapy.

To address toxic stress among children growing up in poverty, an innovative collaboration was developed between a community center, Operation Breakthrough (OB), and a tertiary care children's hospital, Children's Mercy Hospital (CMH). OB started as a day care center but has expanded and developed ways to provide shelter, safety, food, employment, education and health care. CMH is a traditional academic children's hospital that, in recent years, has been looking for ways to better address the social determinants of health.

Methods: Data were reviewed for a total of 737 newly diagnosed epithelial ovarian cancer patients seen in gynecologic oncology at a large academic medical center including 401 from 11/2011-7/2014 (a time when cancer genetics services were provided as an off-site consultation). These data were compared to data from 8/2014-9/2016 (n=336), when the model changed to the genetics embedded model (GEM), incorporating a cancer genetic counselor on-site in the gynecologic oncology clinic.
Objective: To assess whether the addition of oncolytic reovirus (Reolysin®) to weekly paclitaxel prolonged progression-free survival (PFS) in the treatment of women with recurrent or persistent ovarian, tubal or primary peritoneal cancer.
Patients And Methods: Patients with recurrent or persistent epithelial ovarian, tubal, or peritoneal carcinoma, measurable or detectable disease, and three or fewer prior regimens were randomly assigned to paclitaxel (80mg/m intravenously days 1, 8, and 15 every 4weeks) or the combination of paclitaxel (80mg/m intravenously days 1, 8, and 15) plus reovirus 3×10TCID/day intravenously on days 1-5, both every 4weeks until disease progression or toxicity. The primary end point was PFS.
