Impact of multi-cohort HPV vaccination on cervical cancer in women below 30 years of age: Lessons learned from the Scandinavian countries.

In Scandinavia, HPV vaccination programs started in 2007/8; in Sweden and Denmark with HPV vaccination offered to multiple cohorts of young girls, while in Norway offered to a single cohort only. Interestingly, in Sweden and Denmark, cervical cancer incidence in young women decreased markedly from 2017/2018, while in Norway a steady increase was seen until 2020. As the three countries are very similar in other factors important for cervical cancer incidence rates like cervical cancer screening, the observed difference is most likely due to differences in the multi-cohort vaccination.

Although high workload during heart failure is associated with disruption of cardiomyocyte t-tubules and Ca homeostasis, it remains unclear whether changes in preload and afterload may promote adaptive t-tubule remodelling. Quadrivalent HPV Vaccine Effectiveness Against Cervical Intraepithelial Lesion Grade 2 or Worse in Norway: A Registry-Based Study of 0.9 Million Norwegian Women.

In Norway, single-cohort vaccination with quadrivalent human papillomavirus (qHPV) vaccine targeting 12-year-old girls took place in 2009-2016. In 2020, the oldest vaccinated cohort was 23 years old and had approached the age where risk of being diagnosed with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 or worse (CIN2+) increases rapidly. The aim of this cohort study was to assess direct qHPV vaccine effectiveness (VE) against CIN2+ among Norwegian women aged 16-30 years in 2007-2020.

Results from three phase 1 trials of NNC9204-1177, a glucagon/GLP-1 receptor co-agonist: Effects on weight loss and safety in adults with overweight or obesity.

Objective: Glucagon/glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor co-agonists may provide greater weight loss than agonists targeting the GLP-1 receptor alone. We report results from three phase 1 trials investigating the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the glucagon/GLP-1 receptor co-agonist NNC9204-1177 (NN1177) for once-weekly subcutaneous use in adults with overweight or obesity.

Methods: Our focus was a 12-week, multiple ascending dose (MAD), placebo-controlled, double-blind trial in which adults (N = 99) received NN1177 (on an escalating dose regimen of 200, 600, 1300, 1900, 2800, 4200 and 6000 μg) or placebo.

Methods: A high-throughput screening phase with 754 miRNAs was performed in plasma samples of 88 cases and 88 controls, followed by a validation phase of the differentially expressed miRNAs, identified in the screening, in samples of 396 cases and 396 controls.

ELIXIR is a pan-European intergovernmental organisation for life science that aims to coordinate bioinformatics resources in a single infrastructure across Europe; bioinformatics training is central to its strategy, which aims to develop a training community that spans all ELIXIR member states. In an evidence-based approach for strengthening bioinformatics training programmes across Europe, the ELIXIR Training Platform, led by the ELIXIR EXCELERATE Quality and Impact Assessment Subtask in collaboration with the ELIXIR Training Coordinators Group, has implemented an assessment strategy to measure quality and impact of its entire training portfolio. Here, we present ELIXIR's framework for assessing training quality and impact, which includes the following: specifying assessment aims, determining what data to collect in order to address these aims, and our strategy for centralised data collection to allow for ELIXIR-wide analyses.

Aims: The aim of this study was the analysis of the risk associated with direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) in patients undergoing non-elective operations on the proximal aorta due to aortic disease.

Methods And Results: Data from the department's register of cardiac surgery was analysed retrospectively with emphasis on operative mortality. 135 non-elective operations for proximal aortic disease (October 2016 to 2018) were identified, of which 19 died during the first 90 days.
