This study reports the synthesis of Cu micro-/nanosized particles through the polyol process. Cu particles were synthesized by reducing copper(ii) chloride in ethylene glycol (EG), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), and potassium bromide (KBr) at low temperatures with or without the use of sodium borohydride (NaBH).

A virtual replica of the crop, including key agronomic development aspects such as irrigation, optimal fertilization strategies, and pest management, can support decision-making and a step change in farm management, increasing overall sustainability and direct water, fertilizer, and pesticide savings. In this review, Digital Twin technology is critically reviewed and framed in the context of recent advances in precision agriculture and Agriculture 4.

However, there are still no studies on the correlation between HGI and poor prognosis in patients with critical coronary artery disease. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between HGI and all-cause mortality in patients with critical coronary artery disease using the MIMIC-IV database.

Background: The predictive utility of QTc values, calculated through various correction formulas for the incidence of postoperative major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) in patients experiencing acute myocardial infarction (AMI), warrants further exploration. This study endeavors to ascertain the predictive accuracy of disparate QTc values for MACCE occurrences in patients with perioperative AMI.
Methods: A retrospective cohort of three hundred fourteen AMI patients, comprising 81 instances of in-hospital MACCE and 233 controls, was assembled, with comprehensive collection of baseline demographic and clinical data.
Background/aim: Chitosan-based functional materials have attracted considerable attention worldwide for applications in wound healing, especially in skin wound healing, due to their efficiency in hemostasis, anti-bacterial, and skin regeneration. Various chitosan-based products have been developed for skin wound healing applications, but most of these face limitations in either efficacy or cost-effectiveness. Therefore, there is a need to develop a unique material that can handle all of these concerns and be utilized for acute and chronic wounds.

The synthetic materials were characterized by several physical-chemical techniques such as TG-DSC, XRD, SEM, TEM, and N adsorption/desorption measurement. The analysis data confirmed that the glass sample not containing Ag has a completely amorphous structure, while glass samples containing Ag exhibited a pure phase of metallic nano-silver in the glass amorphous phase.

Natural compounds for wound treatment have been widely used for centuries. Numerous published works provided reviews of natural compounds for wound healing applications, which separated the approaches based on different categories such as characteristics, bioactivities, and modes of action.

Materials And Methods: A tranilast-loaded microneedle (TMN) was developed and applied in a rabbit ear model to treat an induced HS.
Biomass-derived carbonaceous materials have recently attracted extensive interest on account of their exceptional physicochemical properties which make them promising candidates for various critical applications. Several achieved advances have been reported in the recent literature, mainly focusing on the areas of energy storage and conversion. There is no review dedicated specifically to the potential applications of biomass-derived carbon-based photocatalytic materials for environmental remediation using the visible spectral region.

However, of major interest, their photocatalytic applications are hampered by several drawbacks, consisting of prompt charge recombination of charge carriers, low surface area, inactive under visible light, and inefficient as well as expensive post-treatment recovery. The immobilization of metal oxide semiconductors on materials possessing high binding strength eliminates the impractical and costly recovery of spent catalysts in large-scale operations.

This remarkable enhancement can be attributed to the synergistic resonance enhancement of R6G molecular resonance, photo-induced charge transfer resonance and electromagnetic resonance. A new polarization-mapping method was proposed, which can quickly screen out single-molecule signals and prove that the obtained spectra are emitted by single molecule.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the sampling of clinically healthy livestock at slaughterhouses as a strategy for genomic FMDV surveillance. Serum samples ( = 11,875) and oropharyngeal fluid (OPF) samples ( = 5045) were collected from clinically healthy cattle and buffalo on farms in eight provinces in southern and northern Vietnam (2015-2019) to characterize viral diversity.

Sequencing can provide critical information to inform control and vaccination strategies by identifying genetically distinct virus variants that may have different host reservoir species or geographic distributions. However, many rabies testing laboratories lack the resources or expertise for sequencing, especially in remote or rural areas where human rabies deaths are highest.

To gain a better understanding of coronavirus presence and diversity in wildlife at wildlife-human interfaces in three southern provinces in Viet Nam 2013-2014, we used consensus Polymerase Chain Reactions to detect coronavirus sequences. In comparison to previous studies, we observed high proportions of positive samples among field rats (34.

Cocirculation of A(H5) and A(H7) viruses leads to the generation of reassortant viruses bearing A(H9N2) internal genes with markers of mammalian adaptation, warranting continued surveillance in both avian and human populations. Here, we describe active surveillance efforts in live poultry markets in Vietnam in 2018 and compare representative viruses to G1 and Y280 lineage viruses that have infected humans.

The complementary hybrid superlattice is composed of multiple quantum wells of 4-mercaptophenol organic monolayers and amorphous ZnO nanolayers. Within the superlattice, multichannel formation was demonstrated at the organic-inorganic interfaces to produce an excellent-performance field effect transistor exhibiting outstanding field-effect mobility with band-like transport and steep subthreshold swing.

In this study, we prepared porous Pt-Pd nanoparticles using an efficient, one-pot co-reduction process without using any templates or toxic reactants. In this process, Pt-Pd nanoparticles with different nanostructures were obtained by adjusting the temperature and ratio of the two precursors; and their catalytic properties for the oxidation of methanol were studied.

Since the initial discovery of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) in the 1970s, it has exhibited a huge potential application in many fields due to its outstanding advantages. Since the ultra-sensitive noble metallic nanostructures have increasingly exposed themselves as having some problems during application, semiconductors have been gradually exploited as one of the critical SERS substrate materials due to their distinctive advantages when compared with noble metals. ZnO is one of the most representative metallic oxide semiconductors with an abundant reserve, various and cost-effective fabrication techniques, as well as special physical and chemical properties.
