COVID-19 pandemic has brought about many uncertainties and adversities for young people, negatively influencing their mental health. The present study investigated the mediation role of intolerance to uncertainty (IU) in the relationship between social emotional learning (SEL) skills and happiness, and between SEL skills and life satisfaction (LS) of young people, within the framework of Positive Youth Development (PYD). The study included 589 university students (51% women) aged 18-24, and the participants completed a Demographic form, Social Emotional Learning Scale-Young Adult Form, Intolerance to Uncertainty Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale, and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire.

The aim of this study was to produce ampicillin trihydrate-loaded poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and PLA/poly(lactic--glycolic acid) (PLA/PLGA) polymeric nanofibers via electrospinning using 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFIP) as the solvent for local application in tissue engineering. The effects of ampicillin trihydrate concentration (4-12%) and addition of PLGA (20-80%) on the spinnability of the solutions, morphology, average nanofiber diameter, encapsulation efficiency, drug release, and mechanical properties of PLA and PLA/PLGA nanofibers were examined. All nanofibers were bead-free and uniform.

This descriptive phenomenological study examines career adaptability of parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Participants include 30 parents (18 fathers and 12 mothers; 6 of them were couples) ranging in age from 26 to 45 years, selected by a purposive sampling method. The semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers based on the Career Construction Theory was used to collect data after receiving expert verification on the questions.

Counselor education requires a comprehensive curriculum including entry-level courses as counseling skills and techniques which foster students' basic knowledge in counseling and perceived counseling self-efficacy (CSE). Counselor candidates are provided opportunities to observe skills and techniques in practice through video modeling (VM) as one of the most favored teaching methods. The use of VM is not a common method in counselor training in Turkey; therefore, first aim of the current study was to investigate how VM-integrated counseling skills and techniques course affected students' perceived counseling techniques efficacy and CSE.

The choice of a desirable solvent/solvent system is fundamental for optimization of electrospinning by altering the rheological and electrostatic properties of the polymer solutions. The effects of the solvents and their properties on the viscosity and spinnability of the polymer solutions and the diameter, morphology, drug release, drug release mechanisms, antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant (MRSA) and mechanical properties of electrospun poly-(d,l-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) nanofibers were investigated. In this study, it was aimed to formulate linezolid loaded electrospun PLGA and PCL fiber mats doing controlled drug release, to be used in the treatment and prophylaxis of the prosthesis related infections. The effect of PLGA concentration, PLGA to PCL ratio and the amount of linezolid on the fiber and mat properties were examined. Fiber diameter has been shown to increase with increasing amount of PLGA and linezolid.

Floating dosage forms of acetylsalicylic acid, used for its antithrombotic effect, were developed to prolong gastric residence time and increase bioavailability. In the two-layer tablet formulation, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) of high viscosity and an effervescent mixture of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate formed the floating layer. The release layer contained the drug, direct tableting agent and different types of matrix-forming polymers such as HPMC of low viscosity, sodium carboxymethylcellulose and chitosan.
