[Primary hyperparathyroidism].

Current views on etiology, pathomorphology and pathophysiology of primary hyperparathyroidism are briefly outlined. In the last two decades the incidence of the disease has been on the increase. Clinical and diagnostic aspects, differential diagnosis of various pathogenetic forms of hypercalcemia are discussed.
