Cadaveric study of the ultrasound-guided inter-transversospinalis plane block in dogs for the cervical epaxial musculature region.

Blockage of the dorsal rami of the spinal nerves (DRSN) provides analgesia to the epaxial musculature area in dogs. However, techniques to block the DRSN at the cervical level in dogs haven't yet been investigated. This study aimed to study the anatomy of the cervical area, and to describe a new ultrasound (US)-guided inter-transversospinalis plane (ITP) block technique at the 5th cervical vertebrae (C5).

Preputial urethrostomy in a cat with suspected glandular hypospadias: case report and literature review.

Case Summary: An 11-year-old neutered male Turkish Angora cat was referred for obstructive feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD). On physical examination, the penis was curved at the tip and had a smaller than normal urethral opening proximal to the end, consistent with singular glandular hypospadias with a dorsal penile curvature. Because of its recurrent obstructive FLUTD history and inability to catheterise the urethra, a preputial urethrostomy (PRU) was performed.

Multiligament stifle injury, a multicenter retrospective study in 26 dogs.

A 3-year-old spayed female rabbit was referred with mineralizations in the left kidney. Despite medical management, 8 months after the initial examination, a 5.3-mm obstructive nephrolith with dilatation of the renal diverticuli was observed with abdominal ultrasonography.

Proximal Abduction Ulnar Osteotomy (PAUL): Short- and Long-Term Evaluation in Dogs Presenting Medial Compartment Disease.

The aim of the study is to report the results obtained from performing a Proximal Abduction Ulnar Osteotomy (PAUL) technique in a cohort of dogs with medial compartment disease with short- and long-term follow-up, assessing the perception of the owners and describing the long-term complications associated with the technique. This is a clinical prospective study, including dogs diagnosed with medial compartment disease treated with elbow arthroscopy and PAUL between 2013 and 2020. Long-term follow-up data and postoperative complications were registered, and a questionnaire adapted from Fitzpatrick et al.

Perioperative Outcome in Dogs Undergoing Emergency Abdominal Surgery: A Retrospective Study on 82 Cases (2018-2020).

Emergency abdominal surgery carries high morbidity and mortality rates in human medicine; however, there is less evidence characterising the outcome of these surgeries as a single group in dogs.
