Comparative analysis of the therapeutic effects of extracorporeal shock wave therapy and high-intensity laser therapy in lateral epicondylitis: a randomised clinical trial.

Lateral epicondylitis (LE) presents a substantial obstacle due to the pain and functional decline, frequently requiring non-surgical treatments. This study contrasts the efficacy of high-ıntensity laser therapy (HILT) and extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) in managing LE. A prospective, randomized comparative trial was conducted with 50 participants assigned to either HILT or ESWT groups.

Evaluation of the lamina cribrosa thickness and depth in patients with migraine.

Purpose: The aim of the study was to evaluate the lamina cribrosa (LC) thickness, LC depth, and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness, in migraine patients with and without aura, by using optical coherence tomography (OCT).

Methods: This single-center, case-control study included 27 migraine with aura (Group I), 35 migraine patients without aura (Group II), and 35 healthy controls (Group III). In only the right eyes of participants, RNFL thickness in all quadrants was analyzed via OCT, whereas LC thickness and depth were measured by enhanced depth imaging OCT.

Sensorineural Hearing Loss in Non-depressed Essential Tremor Cases and Controls: A Clinical and Audiometric Study.

Background: Patients with essential tremor (ET) have an increased prevalence of hearing loss, and depression is a confounding issue for both conditions. We assessed hearing loss in non-depressed ET patients and controls using a questionnaire and audiometric tests.

Methods: The study included 34 patients with ET and 45 volunteers were included.
