Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of fiber reinforcement on the color changes of two different composite resins.

Materials And Methods: A silorane-based composite (Filtek Silorane, A2 shade) and a methacrylate-based composite (Valux Plus, A2 shade) were used in this study. Three groups of samples (control group with no reinforcements, polyethylene fiber [Ribbond THM]-reinforced composite, and glass fiber [everStick Net]-reinforced composite groups) were prepared from each composite ( = 8).

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to perform an in vitro evaluation of the protective effects of anticavity agents applied to enamel, by themselves and in combination with Er:YAG.

Materials And Methods: In this study 150 extracted third molars were used. Measurements were made using DIAGNOdent, and samples with scores of 0-13 were included in the study.

The evaluation of the effect of bleaching on monomer release from two composite resins was performed by bleaching two nanohybrid composite resins Filtek Z550 and Tetric N-Ceram using two bleaching products Whiteness HP Maxx and Vivastyle. In total, 20 samples were made from each composite resin from which four groups were fabricated (two for each bleaching product). The samples were stored in a 75% ethanol solution, and the solutions were renewed after 1, 7, and 28 days.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxic and oxidative effects of the most commonly used dental restorative materials on human gingival fibroblast cells (HGFCs). HGFCs were obtained from healthy individuals. The tested restorative materials were a microhybrid resin based composite, a compomer resin, a glass ionomer cement, and an amalgam alloy.

Purpose: To evaluate clinical periodontal findings and GCF levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin 6 (IL-6) and interleukin 8 (IL-8) in patients with overhang amalgam restorations before and after overhang restoration removal.

Methods: 22 volunteer subjects (age range: 22-42 years old) with 22 overhang Class II amalgam restorations were selected. GCF samples were obtained from adjacent and contralateral teeth for IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-α measurements and analyzed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits.

Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of different interface materials and curing units on color changes in a resin cement material.

Materials And Methods: Three interface materials and different curing systems, quartz-tungsten-halogen and polywave and monowave light-emitting diode (LED) light curing units, were studied at two-time intervals. Polystyrene strip was used as a control group.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the microtensile bond strength (μTBS) of different flowable composite resins placed in different configuration factors (C-factors) into Class I cavities.

Materials And Methods: Fifty freshly extracted human molars were divided into 10 groups. Five different composite resins; a universal flowable composite (AeliteFlo, BISCO), two highly filled flowable composites (GrandioSO Flow, VOCO; GrandioSO Heavy Flow, VOCO), a bulk-fill flowable composite (smart dentin replacement [SDR], Dentsply), and a conventional paste-like composite (Filtek Supreme XT, 3M ESPE) were placed into Class I cavities (4 mm deep) with 1 mm or 2 mm layers.

Objective: The aim of the study is to evaluate temperature change in fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) resin photopolymerized with a light-emitting diode (LED) light-curing unit (LCU).

Materials And Methods: Forty dentine disks (1 mm thick and 8 mm diameter) were prepared from human molars. The FRC specimens (2 mm thickness and 8 mm diameter) consisted of polyethylene fiber (Construct (CT)) products or glass fiber (ever Stick (ES)) and one hybrid composite bonded to the dentin disks and polymerized with an LED LCU.

Objective: The aim of this study was to test the null hypothesis that different surface conditioning (etch and rinse and self-etch) and curing techniques (light cure/dual cure) had no effect on the shear bond strength of direct and indirect composite inlays.

Materials And Methods: A total of 112 extracted human molar teeth were horizontally sectioned and randomly divided into two groups according to restoration technique (direct and indirect restorations). Each group was further subdivided into seven subgroups (n = 8) according to bonding agent (etch and rinse adhesives Scotchbond multi-purpose plus, All-Bond 3, Adper Single Bond and Prime Bond NT; and self-etch adhesives Clearfil Liner Bond, Futurabond DC and G bond).

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of several aspects of climate, such as temperature and altitude, on dental maturation.

Materials And Methods: The total sample consisted of 944 panoramic radiographs (473 Turkish children from Central Anatolia [228 girls and 245 boys] and 471 Turkish children from Eastern Anatolia [222 girls and 249 boys]). The children aged between 7.

Objectives: The purposes of this study were (1) to determine the translucency of silorane and dimethacrylate-based composite resins and (2) to evaluate the effect of water storage and reinforcement with fibre on the translucency of composite resins.

Methods: Two light-cured composite resins (A2 shade), Filtek Silorane (silorane-based composite) and Valux Plus (dimethacrylate-based composite), were used in this study. The first group was used as the control with no reinforcements, the second was reinforced with polyethylene (Ribbond THM) and the third was reinforced with a glass fibre (Everstick Net) for each composite resin.

Aims: The purpose of this pilot study was to determine the effects of silorane composites on gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin 6 (IL-6) and IL-8, GCF volume and clinical periodontal parameters in patients with silorane composite restorations before and after restorative treatment.

Materials And Methods: A total of 20 systemically healthy non-smokers, 12 female and 8 male (age range: 24-46 years), presenting with 25 instances of primary dentine caries with subgingival margins were selected for this study. Approval was obtained from the university ethics committee and treatment plans were approved by the patients.

Objective: Despite the incremental build-up of resin composite restorations, their polymerization shrinkage during curing presents a serious problem. Indirect composite resin systems represent an alternative in overcoming some of the deficiencies of direct composite restorations. The hypothesis of the present study states that the clinical performance of restorations may be affected by different generation and application techniques.

This study was done to analyze the effect of different surfaces and different surface applications on the bonding strength of porcelain repair material and to compare these factors with one another. Three different substructures of 10 mm diameter and 4 mm thickness were used for the repair surface: metal, metal on porcelain and porcelain. The surfaces of half of the samples were roughened with an air abrasion tool; the surfaces of the other half were treated with a diamond bur.
