Air-liquid interface (ALI) airway culture models serve as a powerful tool to emulate the characteristic features of the respiratory tract in vitro. These models are particularly valuable for studying emerging respiratory viral and bacterial infections. Here, we describe an optimized protocol to obtain the ALI airway culture models using normal human bronchial epithelial cells (NHBECs).

This pioneering approach primarily addresses issues like xerostomia (dry mouth), commonly resulting from cancer treatment, with a specific focus on monitoring temperature and humidity. This paper introduces the innovative Intra-Oral Portable Micro-Electronic (IOPM) fluidic theranostic device platform.

This paper introduces a systematic design of a microfluidic compact disc (CD) consisting of six unique chambers that run simultaneously from sample loading, holding, mixing and analysis. In this study, the electrochemical property changes between real saliva and artificial saliva mixed with three different types of mouthwashes (i.

Nanoparticles (NPs) are one of the rising fields in research for anticancer drug development. One of the key advantages of using NPs for cancer therapy is its high flexibility for modification, hence additional properties can be added to the NPs in order to improve its anticancer action.

The novel adsorbents were characterised by the presence of the functional group, surface morphology, crystallinity and magnetic property. The equilibrium time from the adsorption studies was found to be less than 240min for both film and bead forms while the rate of Cu removal decreased as the initial Cu concentration increased.
