Background: Occupational exposure to silica increases the risk of TB infection (TBI) and disease. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of TBI and explore challenges in TBI management in such individuals in two districts of India during 2023.
Methods: This was an explanatory mixed-methods study with a quantitative cohort design and qualitative descriptive in-depth interviews.

The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and HCV/HIV co-infection among people who inject drugs (PWID) in Manipur, and identify factors associated with infection.
Methods: Data were obtained from the Integrated Behavioural and Biological Assessment (2009-2010), a cross-sectional survey among 821 male PWID in two districts of Manipur (Churachandpur and Bishnupur).
Background: There is an HIV epidemic among people who inject drugs (PWID) in Manipur and Nagaland, Northeast India. Approximately one-third of PWID across these two states are aged below 25 years, yet until now there has been no systematic investigation of the differences between the younger and older PWID. We sought to profile differences in drug use and sexual practices across age groups and to examine whether age is associated with injecting and sexual risk behaviours.
