Modified citrus pectin (MCP) modulates galectin-3, a key player in neuroinflammation linked to Alzheimer's disease. By inhibiting galectin-3, MCP reduces the brain's inflammatory response and may alleviate cognitive decline. This study examines MCP's impact on neuroinflammation, cognitive function, and its role in galectin-3 inhibition in a dementia model.

Methods: In this registry study, 558 patients from 47 centers who were treated with at least one immunosuppressive agent and had adequate follow-up data were included. Primary outcome was defined as complete (CR) or partial remission (PR).
Background: Immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy (IgAN) treatment consists of maximal supportive care and, for high-risk individuals, immunosuppressive treatment (IST). There are conflicting results regarding IST. Therefore, we aimed to investigate IST results among IgAN patients in Turkiye.

Methods: The authors conducted a retrospective review of 32 patients with SWMs treated at Gazi University using TONES from October 2019 to May 2023. The study includes clinical applications to elucidate the endoscopic transorbital approach.
Ozone, widely recognized as an environmentally friendly gas, is extensively used in various textile industry applications. These include pre-treatment processes like bleaching and desizing, as well as creating pattern and vintage effects, wastewater clarification, and surface modification. This study focuses on ozone as a novel solution to a specific challenge: addressing the reduction in flame retardancy properties experienced by flame-retardant (FR) polyester fabrics during post-treatment processes in the production line.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the possible protective effects of exogenous Apelin-13 administration on oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis induced by the cytotoxic agent cyclophosphamide (CP) in the lungs.
Methods: Twenty-four male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups: Control (saline), CP (200 mg/kg), Apelin-13 (10 μg/kg/day), and CP+Apelin-13.
Objective: Curcumin is a bioactive compound that has well-known pharmacological activities. Numerous studies have shown that curcumin provides potential cardiovascular benefits through a variety of mechanisms. The present study aims to discuss different concentrations of curcumin's impact on mechanical functions and cardiac contractility in isolated perfused rat hearts.

Patients And Methods: In the validation study conducted between June 2007 and June 2009, 511 children (299 normal children, 212 children with CP) were assessed by the seven scales of PedsQL [daily activities (DA), school activities (SA), movement and balance (MB), pain and hurt (PH), fatigue (F), eating activities (EA), and speech and communication (SC)].
Aim: To investigate the outcomes of the simultaneous closure of bilateral cranial defects using custom-made three-dimensional (3D) titanium implants.
Material And Methods: Demographic data of 26 patients with bilateral cranial defects who underwent cranioplasty using the 3D custom-made titanium implants in our clinic between 2017 and 2022 were retrospectively reviewed. Data on the area of cranium defect, the time interval between last cranial surgery and cranioplasty, postoperative complications, etiology of the cranium defect, and hospitalization of the patient were statistically evaluated.
Thrombotic and microangiopathic effects have been reported in COVID-19 patients. This study examined the contribution of the hereditary thrombophilia factors Prothrombin (FII) and Factor V Leiden (FVL) genotypes to the severity of COVID-19 disease and the development of thrombosis. This study investigated FII and FVL alleles in a cohort of 9508 patients (2606 male and 6902 female) with thrombophilia.

Furthermore, AD and diabetes mellitus have common pathomechanisms. It has been shown that P2X7R whose expression is increased in brain tissues with AD and plays a role in the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome is suppressed by miR-373 in patients with osteoarthritis.
