Objectives: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are chronic, immune-mediated disorders of the gastrointestinal system. Pancreas can be affected in IBD patients with a wide array of clinical conditions including acu-te pancreatitis, abnormalities of pancreatic duct and pancreatic insufficiency. Pancreatic steatosis (PS) is an important but often overlooked pathology of pancreas.

Methods: The medical records of 1,082 patients who underwent tonsillectomy between May 2018 and April 2019 were reviewed. The entire study cohort included 431 (39.
Background: The use of Complementary Medicine Products (CMPs) has been increasing worldwide, including among breastfeeding mothers. This study aims to investigate the reasons and associated factors of CMP use among breastfeeding mothers in Turkey, alongside their attitudes and experiences.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted using a self-administered, anonymous online survey between 17 December 2023 and 17 March 2024.
The influence of the film/substrate interface and the role of film thickness on the structural transition temperature for thin films of the asymmetric BTBT derivative 7-decyl-2-phenyl[1]benzothieno[3,2-][1]-benzothiophene (Ph-BTBT-10) have been addressed by using Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) and synchrotron grazing incidence wide angle X-ray scattering (GIWAXS). Our data strongly suggest that the structural transformation from a single-layer phase to the thermodynamically stable bilayer structure develops from the bottom of the film to its surface. Contrary to observations in other organic semiconductor films, notably, the thinner the Ph-BTBT-10 film, the lower is the transition temperature.

This study aims to evaluate the correlation of real-time MR thermometry-predicted lesion volume with the ablation zone in postprocedural first-day images.
Methods: This single-center retrospective analysis evaluated prospectively included patients who underwent MRI-guided microwave ablation with real-time thermometry between December 2020 and July 2023.
Objectives: Glucocorticoid cosecretion is more common in primary aldosteronism (PA) than previously thought. Chronic subtle cortisol excess in patients with mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS) negatively affects bone health. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of MACS on bone density and turnover markers in PA patients.

Objective: The aim of our study was to compare serum MOTS-c levels in children with Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) to those of healthy children. We also aimed to examine whether serum MOTS-c levels could be used as an early indicator of DKD by correlating with changes in GFR and microalbuminuria.
Methods: We recruited 82 patients who were being treated for insulin-dependent diabetes at the outpatient pediatric endocrinology clinic.
Background: Mortality in patients after carotid artery stenting (CAS), a treatment approach for atherosclerotic carotid artery stenosis, is influenced by numerous factors. This study aimed to investigate the prognostic value of the Naples prognostic score (NPS), which reflects nutritional and inflammatory status, in CAS patients.
Methods: We retrospectively included 697 patients who underwent CAS from January 2016 to December 2020 at our institute.
Purpose: We presented the experience of a tertiary care center for maternal and fetal diseases and assessed the findings fetuses with double-inlet left ventricle (DILV) regarding fetal echocardiography, prenatal course including fetal growth and death, and postnatal outcome.
Methods: In this retrospective study, patients diagnosed with DILV via prenatal ultrasound in the maternal-fetal medicine department between 2015 and 2023 were included to evaluate important aspects of prenatal diagnosis and course, as well as postnatal management and outcome.
Results: There were 33 DILV cases prenatally diagnosed and postnatally confirmed.
Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is clinically challenging due to its location and small biopsy size, leading to a lack of comprehensive molecular and biologic description. We previously demonstrated that 91% of PCNSL belong to the activated B-cell-like (ABC) molecular subtype of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Here we investigated the expression of 739 cancer related genes in HIV (-) patients using NanoString digital gene expression profiling in 25 ABC-PCNSL and 43 ABC-systemic DLBCL, all tumors were EBV (-).

Aim: To characterize chILD-survivors and identify their impact on adult-ILD centers.
Background: Nintedanib reduces the decline of pulmonary function in patients with advancing lung fibrosis.
Aim: To assess the characteristics of the patients with connective tissue diseases (CTDs) related to interstitial lung disease (ILD) under nintedanib treatment.
Methods: The CTD-related ILD patients under nintedanib treatment who were followed up between 2020 and 2023 were included in the study.
Introduction: Persistent right umbilical vein (PRUV) is an embryonic vascular abnormality. Recent studies suggested that the perinatal outcome was good and the risk of aneuploidy was low in isolated forms. Our purpose in this study was to assess the relation of PRUV with genetic abnormalities and demonstrate concomitant malformations and perinatal outcomes of these fetuses.

In this case-control study, 54 patients diagnosed with pterygium and 50 healthy controls were investigated, between 2020 and 2021. After a comprehensive ophthalmological examination, the central corneas of all participants were evaluated by corneal IVCM.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was designed, involving a sample of 1082 university students. The data for this study were collected using a socio-demographic questionnaire, the Inönü Marital Attitude Scale (IMAS), and the Gender Roles Attitude Scale (GRAS).
Purpose: This study aims to present our experience with superselective embolization of the anterior spinal artery-bearing segmental artery (ASAbSA) using a microvascular plug (MVP) during the minimally invasive segmental artery coil embolization (MISACE) procedure prior endovascular repair of the thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated all MISACE procedures performed between May 2018 and July 2023, where MVP was deployed into an angiographically confirmed ASAbSA. Data were analyzed regarding interventional details, technical aspects, and safety protocols.
Background: Quantitative real-time MRI-based temperature mapping techniques are hampered by abdominal motion. Intrascan motion can be reduced by rapid acquisition sequences such as 2D echo planar imaging (EPI), and inter-scan organ displacement can be compensated by image processing such as optical flow (OF) algorithms. However, motion field estimation can be seriously affected by local variation of signal intensity on magnitude images inherent to tissue heating, potentially leading to erroneous temperature estimates.

We aimed to address this gap by investigating the significance of serum cytokines associated with inflammation as potential biomarkers for the selection of patients for TARE.
Methods: Our retrospective study involved 161 patients diagnosed with HCC who underwent Y90 radioembolization at our medical center between 2010 and 2020.

It has been claimed that a deficiency in the immune system can significantly affect the severity of COVID-19 disease. It is important that the levels of essential elements and vitamin D are at certain levels for the healthy functioning of the immune system.
