The system of ion transport in mitochondria induced with Brensted acids (H+-acids) was studied. It has been shown that an increase of the activity of hydrogen ions in the incubation medium (pH decrease) along with the earlier obtained [3--5] K+/H+ exchange brings about the appearance of the system of electrogenic transport of potassium ions in mitochondria.
