EX vivo liver resection and auto transplantation for a giant hepatocellular carcinoma: A case report.

Introduction And Importance: The curative options for locally advanced hepatocellular carcinomas involving the vessels are very limited. Ex vivo liver resection and auto transplantation (ERAT) is a novel surgical method, which has been used in the management of such complex liver space occupying lesions, which are rendered conventionally unresectable. This technique involves a complete hepatectomy, extracorporeal hepatic resection on the backbench, and then reimplantation of the remnant hepatic parenchyma.

Influence of terminal moiety on PCE of DSSCs: An In Silico study based on triazatruxene-benzothiadiazole dye.

Our study utilized an experimentally synthesized dye as a reference molecule, employing a donor-π linker-acceptor (D-π-A) framework for organic solar cells. The molecule featured a triazatruxene group linked with alkyl branches as the donor and ethynyl benzoic acid as the acceptor, connected through a derivative of benzothiadiazole as the π linker. To improve optoelectronic and photovoltaic properties, ten theoretically designed dyes (ZA1-ZA10) are proposed, differing from the reference (R) by modifying the terminal acceptor moiety.

Background and objectives The frequency of COVID-19-positive or suspicious patients grew steadily, and these patients were received in emergency and outpatient departments at an unprecedented pace for the need of an elective or emergent surgical assessment. Background: Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women throughout the world. However, in comparison with Western women, it presents relatively early in women of Asian ethnicity. Early menarche, late menopause, use of OCP's, family history of benign or malignant breast disease, exposure to radiation and BMI in the under-weight range are well known risk factors for the development of breast cancer in premenopausal women.
