Nursing students' knowledge of working with D/deaf and hard of hearing patients: Evaluation of a deaf awareness elearning package.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate a newly developed Deaf awareness e-learning package with nursing students at one university in Wales, UK.

Background: D/deaf and hard of hearing communities face a multitude of barriers when accessing and receiving healthcare leading to under diagnosis of health conditions and poorer health outcomes in general. Lack of awareness, teaching, and exposure to the D/deaf and hard of hearing populations during health care professional training programmes has been shown to contribute to this health disparity.

Background: During pregnancy, physiological changes occur from conception to birth. We assessed the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) throughout pregnancy and postpartum using the EQ-5D-5L.

Methods: Between May and July 2021 (wave 1) and December 2021 and April 2022 (wave 2), we conducted a series of cross-sectional, national online surveys of 5250 pregnant and postpartum United States (US) adults.

"Holding Space": A Phenomenological Exploration of Mindfulness-Based Practice With Veterans Who Have Experienced Trauma.

The current phenomenological study examined the lived experiences of Veterans who completed a 4-month mindfulness program. One-on-one interviews were conducted with 12 Veterans using a Socratic method of interviewing, which yielded rich contextual narratives. Analysis was guided by a hermeneutic process to disclose concealed meanings.

To improve the efficiency of Ni phytoextraction, the metal hyperaccumulator N. goesingensis was subject to treatment with a combination of a Ni uptake stimulating microorganism and the commercially available, IAA- based biostimulating seaweed extract - Kelpak. Perinatal Anxiety and Depression During COVID-19.

The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak places perinatal women at higher risk of developing anxiety and depression. Uncertainty, fear, and confusion in medical, social, economic, occupational, and political aspects of life in the United States add to existing stressors that perinatal women experience. To optimize the quality of perinatal care during the pandemic, appropriate mental health interventions must be implemented to prevent and alleviate perinatal anxiety and depression and improve maternal and infant outcomes.

In 2015-2016, an estimated 6 million children in the United States had at least one parent incarcerated. Children of incarcerated parents experience physical, mental, social, and economic consequences, including migraines, asthma, depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, school dropout, and homelessness. The purpose of the current phenomenological study was to gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences of youth who have or have had an incarcerated parent.

Pilot test GoWoman, a small-group weight management intervention for mobility impaired women that was a disability- and gender-responsive adaptation of the Diabetes Prevention Program delivered in the online virtual world of Second Life.
