CT1812 is a novel, brain penetrant small molecule modulator of the sigma-2 receptor (S2R) that is currently in clinical development for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Preclinical and early clinical data show that, through S2R, CT1812 selectively prevents and displaces binding of amyloid beta (Aβ) oligomers from neuronal synapses and improves cognitive function in animal models of AD. SHINE is an ongoing phase 2 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial (COG0201) in participants with mild to moderate AD, designed to assess the safety and efficacy of 6 months of CT1812 treatment.

We assessed fidelity to intervention implementation and participant adherence to the intervention starting in pregnancy through the infant's first birthday using fuel delivery and repair records, surveys, observations, and temperature-logging stove use monitors (SUMs).

The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), was a European public-private partnership (PPP) undertaking intended to improve the drug development process, facilitate biomarker development, accelerate clinical trial timelines, improve success rates, and generally increase the competitiveness of European pharmaceutical sector research. Through the IMI, pharmaceutical research interests and the research agenda of the EU are supported by academic partnership and financed by both the pharmaceutical companies and public funds. Since its inception, the IMI has funded dozens of research partnerships focused on solving the core problems that have consistently obstructed the translation of research into clinical success.

The cotton bollworm, , is set to become the most economically devastating crop pest in the world, threatening food security and biosafety as its range expands across the globe.
