Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess how effective MRI is in identifying remaining tumors after Gamma Knife radiosurgery for brain metastases, using data from autopsy cases.
  • Researchers tested two hypotheses: whether a single MRI could detect tumors and if multiple MRIs would improve detection accuracy.
  • Results indicated that a single MRI couldn't clearly differentiate between treatment success and failure, while a series of MRIs provided better insights into treatment responses over time.
