Propensity score matched analysis of laparoscopic revisional and conversional sleeve gastrectomy with concurrent hiatal hernia repair.

Introduction: The primary aim of this study was to evaluate outcomes associated with concurrent hiatal hernia repair (CHHR) when performing a conversional or revisional vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG). CHHR is often necessary during VSG due to potential gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) development or obstructive symptoms.

Methods: The Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement (MBSAQIP) participant use file was assessed for the years 2015-2020 for revisional/conversional VSG procedures.

Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication in a community hospital: patient satisfaction survey.

Objectives: To assess the efficacy of laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication for esophageal reflux in a community hospital.

Methods: One hundred nineteen patients (76%) of 157 patients having laparoscopic fundoplication for symptomatic reflux disease completed a questionnaire. All patients were evaluated with esophagoscopy, esophageal motility, and pH studies.

Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication in a community hospital: analysis of 202 patients.

We analyzed 202 patients undergoing Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication. One hundred and three patients (90.6%) had typical reflux symptoms.
