Multicenter Analysis of Acute Retinal Necrosis: Clinical Characteristics, Viral Pathogens, and Diagnostic Predictive Factors.

Purpose: This multicenter study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and factors associated with specific viral pathogens in patients with acute retinal necrosis (ARN).

Methods: A retrospective multicenter cohort study included ARN patients who underwent aqueous or vitreous polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing. Multivariable mixed-effects Poisson regression was used to identify factors associated with viral pathogens.

Efficacy of subtenon 20-mg triamcinolone injection versus 0.1% dexamethasone eye drops for controlling inflammation after phacoemulsification: a randomized controlled trial.

A prospective randomized control trial of 140 eyes from 140 patients, who underwent phacoemulsification, was conducted to compare the efficacy of subtenon corticosteroids injection with corticosteroids eye drops for controlling postoperative intraocular inflammation. Seventy patients received subtenon 20-mg triamcinolone injection (TA group), whereas the other 70 patients received 0.1% dexamethasone eye drops (Dexa group) after the uneventful surgeries.

Extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma presenting as hypopyon panuveitis: a case report.

Background: Extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL), nasal type, generally affects the orbit by direct extension. It can even rarely present as severe intraocular inflammation mimicking endophthalmitis. Delayed diagnosis and treatment are frequently reported.
