Ambulatory EEGs began emerging in the healthcare industry over the years, setting a new norm for long-term monitoring services. The present devices in the market are neither meant for remote monitoring due to their technical complexity nor for meeting clinical setting needs in epilepsy patient monitoring. In this paper, we propose an ambulatory EEG device, OptiEEG, that has low setup complexity, for the remote EEG monitoring of epilepsy patients.

Article Synopsis
  • Modern RF transceivers rely on high-performance T/R switches, but existing options struggle to balance important performance traits like high isolation and low insertion loss.
  • This study presents a newly designed T/R switch created using a 0.13µm CMOS process for the 2.4GHz ISM band, achieving impressive specs of 0.85dB insertion loss and 45.17dB isolation.
  • The switch is compact (only 0.003mm²), cost-effective, and features good power handling and linearity, making it ideal for low-power electronic applications where size and efficiency are key.
