Background and aim Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), now known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), is more common in people with type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) than in people without diabetes mellitus (non-DM). This disease can lead to cirrhosis or hepatic cancer. There is limited data on NAFLD prevalence and the level of risk of fibrosis in Bangladeshi individuals.

This study aimed to find out high-risk HPV genotype distribution among women of the coastal districts of Bangladesh.
Methods: This cross-sectional study conducted from January 2023 to December 2023 aimed to investigate the prevalence and distribution patterns of high-risk HPV genotypes among ever-married women aged 30-60 years residing in three coastal districts of Bangladesh.
Background: Cervical cancer is a major public health problem in Bangladesh. Persistence of high risk human papillomavirus (HRHPV) influences the progression of the disease, with an important role in follow- up for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN).
Objective: To establish application of high risk HPV DNA test in the follow-up of women after treatment of CIN.
Aim: To evaluate the feasibility of the 'see and treat' protocol for the management of high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) at a colposcopy clinic in Bangladesh.
Material And Methods: A cross-sectional and comparative study was carried out between two periods on 358 colposcopy-diagnosed high-grade CIN at the colposcopy clinic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). During the first period (January 2005 to June 2008), 181 colposcopy-diagnosed high-grade CIN patients had cervical biopsy by punch biopsy forceps and histology-confirmed high-grade CIN were treated by loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP).
