The use of Advance Oxidation Process (AOPs) has been extensively examined in order to eradicate organic pollutants. This review assesses the efficacy of photolysis, O based (O/UV, O/HO, O/HO/UV, HO/UV, Fenton, Fenton-like, hetero-system) and sonochemical and electro-oxidative AOPs in this regard. The main purpose of this review and some suggestions for the advancement of AOPs is to facilitate the elimination of toxic organic pollutants.

Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) involves multiple secondary users (SUs) reporting primary user (PU) channel sensing states to the fusion center (FC). However, the high overheads associated with multi-user CSS impose power limitations that limit its usefulness in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) networks. Two copper complexes, Cu1 (CuLCl, L = 2-(6,7-dimethoxyisoquinolin-1-yl) aniline) and Cu2 (CuLCl, L = 2-(6-methoxyisoquinolin-1-yl) aniline), were synthesized and characterized. These complexes exhibited high cytotoxic activity toward different cancer cell lines, including the A549 lung cancer cell line, and low cytotoxicity toward normal human cells. Mechanistic studies have shown that these complexes induce bimodal death of cancer cells through apoptosis and autophagy, including the activation of apoptotic and autophagic cell signaling pathways.

Two rhodium complexes Rh1 and Rh2 with isoquinoline derivatives were synthesized and characterized. Both complexes displayed strong anticancer activity against various cancer cells and low cytotoxicity against non-cancer cells. These complexes triggered apoptosis via mitochondrial dysfunction that increased the levels of ROS and Ca and released cytochrome C which ultimately activated caspases and the apoptosis pathway.

Two gold(III) complexes of isoquinoline derivatives: [Au(L)Cl] (Au1) and [Au(L)Cl] (Au2) have been prepared and characterized. Au1 and Au2 exhibited greater cytotoxicity than their corresponding ligands and cisplatin against T-24 cells. Both complexes arrested cell cycle at S-phase by upregulation of p53, p27, and p21, and downregulation of cyclin A and cyclin E.
