Decision-Making on Contraceptive Use among Women Living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus in Malaysia: A Qualitative Inquiry.

Background: Malaysia is the first country in the Western Pacific Region to receive the validation certificate for the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The validation report recommends making sexual and reproductive health and rights of women living with HIV a priority. This article explores and assesses the sexual and reproductive health, rights, and access to healthcare services of Malaysia's women living with HIV (WLHIV).

Determinants of Suboptimal Gestational Weight Gain among Antenatal Women Residing in the Highest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Region of Malaysia.

Suboptimal gestational weight gain has been associated with adverse perinatal and maternal outcomes, including increased risk of non-communicable diseases later in life. This study aimed to determine the proportion and determinants of suboptimal GWG. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 475 pregnant women in Selangor between January and March 2020.

Substituting white rice with brown and black rice as an alternative to prevent diabetes mellitus type 2: a case-study among young adults in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the preference and acceptance of white rice substitution with brown and black rice among young adults in Indonesia to prevent diabetes.

Methods: This study used a qualitative design. Rice preference deeply explored using focus group discussion as a case-study.

Frequent mental distress (FMD) in Irish Travellers: discrimination and bereavement negatively influence mental health in the All Ireland Traveller Health Study.

Travellers are an indigenous minority group in Ireland, with poorer life expectancy and health status than the general population. Recent data have shown that Travellers are at increased risk of poor mental health and sequelae from same. We aimed to examine the associations between sociodemographic and lifestyle factors with poor mental health in Irish Travellers.
