N-doped graphene oxides (GO) are nanomaterials of interest as building blocks for 3D electrode architectures for vanadium redox flow battery applications. N- and O-functionalities have been reported to increase charge transfer rates for vanadium redox couples. However, GO synthesis typically yields heterogeneous nanomaterials, making it challenging to understand whether the electrochemical activity of conventional GO electrodes results from a sub-population of GO entities or sub-domains.

However, the technical constraints often differ depending on the characterization techniques to be applied in combination. One of the cornerstones of correlative single-entity electrochemistry (SEE) is the substrate, which needs to achieve a high conductivity, low roughness, and electrochemical inertness.

Furthermore, there are no standardized guidelines on best practices for designing and implementing an interdisciplinary curriculum. Recently, in healthcare settings there has been a drive to adopt interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary practices, creating a need for training individuals capable of working across discipline-specific boundaries, or to even adopt a transdisciplinary practice.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFCarbon porous materials containing nitrogen functionalities and encapsulated iron-based active sites have been suggested as electrocatalysts for energy conversion, however their applications to the hydrogenation of organic substrates via electrocatalytic hydrogenation (ECH) remain unexplored. Herein, we report on a Fe@C:N material synthesized with an adapted annealing procedure and tested as electrocatalyst for the hydrogenation of benzaldehyde. Using different concentrations of the organic, and electrolysis coupled to gas chromatography experiments, we demonstrate that it is possible to use such architectures for the ECH of unsaturated organics.

Ensuring good sexual health in this cohort is a public health concern, but best practice intervention in the area remains under-researched. This study aimed to co-design a novel intervention to address the sexual health needs of young people with mental ill-health to test its effectiveness in a future trial undertaken in youth mental health services in Melbourne, Australia.

There are currently two FDA licensed products, ciltacabtagene autoleucel and idecabtagene vicleucel, for treating relapsed and refractory disease. Although correlative analyses performed by product manufacturers have been reported in clinical trials, there are limited options for reliable BCMA CAR T detection assays for physicians and researchers looking to explore it as a biomarker for clinical outcome.

Interventions have been introduced at curricular and organisational levels, yet progress in addressing these issues remains limited. Timely evaluation is needed to assess effectiveness of interventions, and to explore issues and interactions in learning environments impacting on student experience.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTrigger warnings are statements offering prior notification of sensitive content, allowing recipients to prepare for and avoid ensuing distress. Students are increasingly reporting expectations for warnings in classrooms and learning contexts. Discussions regarding use of warnings have clear relevance to healthcare education, which regularly explores sensitive content.

Our objective was to determine how host-plant flowering phenology shapes a facultative ant-lycaenid mutualism. The focus of our research was the hops azure, Celastrina humulus Scott & D.

Controversy surrounds use of warnings in education, with concerns noted regarding impacts on academic freedom, "coddling", thereby undermining resilience, reinforcement of traumatised identity and enablement of avoidance. Proponents of warnings position them as accommodations for those affected by trauma, enhancing inclusion, and suggest warnings empower choice and enable informed engagement in learning.

While leadership attributes and skills are increasingly expected curricular outcomes, students still struggle to report concerns due to a variety of factors. Changing societal awareness and expectations continue to shine light on poor professionalism and unethical behaviours whose reach extends to medical training and education and that need to be systematically reported and addressed.

Here we conduct nanoscale electrochemical measurements in a unique experimental configuration, restricting the electrochemical contact area to a small subregion (0.3 µm) of a monolayer TiCT flake.

One cross-sectional study finds lower graduation rates and scores in written exams, with no impact on clinical exams. Disabled students graduated with lower decile scores.

Here, we evaluated the validity of dry-EEG, cognitive task gamification, and unsupervised home-based recordings used in combination. Two separate cohorts of participants-older and younger adults-collected data at home over several weeks using a wireless dry EEG system interfaced with a tablet for task presentation.

Although the blood pressure response to orthostasis has been well studied there is a lack of information on orthostatic cerebrovascular responses in older populations.
Methods And Results: We measured cerebral hemodynamics, utilizing near infrared spectroscopy, coupled with peripheral blood pressure during an active stand in a large population of well-phenotyped older adults (N = 2764).

Students' expectations for warnings in some circumstances are recognised, and some educators and institutions have adopted use. Medical education necessitates engagement with potentially distressing topics.

In this paper we tested if the label of 'furnished cage' eggs is a barrier for its support in Australia. Furthermore, we examined if educational interventions could change support and the way furnished cages were discussed.

Deviations from normal facial development cannot be explored before establishing the normal variation in a specific population, since ethnic differences may exist. Main objective: to establish reference standards for 23 facial measurements on 3D ultrasound volumes obtained between days 196 and 224 of gestation in healthy unexposed South African fetuses from an area with historically high alcohol consumption prevalence and a population group with no existing normative values.

These individuals require additional support to achieve good sexual health but the best way to provide this remains needs to be better understood. We searched for randomised controlled trials of behavioural and psychosocial interventions aimed at promoting sexual health in high-risk young populations.
