Bonding super translucent multilayered monolithic zirconia to different foundation materials: an invitro study.

Background: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of bonded substrate, zirconia surface conditioning and the interaction between them on the shear bond strength of monolithic zirconia.

Methods: Forty-eight monolithic zirconia discs were CAD-CAM fabricated and divided into two groups according to surface treatment either as milled and universal primer application (Monobond N, Ivoclar-Vivadent) (P) or sandblasting then universal primer application (Monobond N) (SP). Each main group was further divided into three test groups according to the bonded substrate: dentin (DSP, DP), composite (CSP, CP) or resin modified glass ionomer (RMGI) (GSP, GP).

Background: Ramadan fasting, an obligatory duty for adult Muslims, entails refraining from eating, drinking, smoking, and vaping from dawn until sunset. Throughout Ramadan, people accept major changes to daily routines. Consequently, Ramadan is associated with abstinence symptoms and changes in smoking or vaping behavior.

Influence of thickness and surface conditioning on fracture resistance of occlusal veneer.

Background: The purpose of the current study was to assess the impact of restoration thickness, surface conditioning and the interaction between them on the fracture resistance of CAD/CAM fabricated lithium disilicate occlusal veneers.

Methods: A total of 42 maxillary molars were prepared to receive CAD/CAM fabricated lithium disilicate occlusal veneer either with 0.5 mm (n = 21) or 1 mm (n = 21) thickness.

Health literacy of pregnant women attending antenatal care clinics in Mansoura district, Egypt.

Background: Health literacy (HL) is an important maternal factor that is involved in the engagement of a mother and her children with health promotion and preventive activities. Studies have found poor HL in large proportions of the population of both developed and developing countries. This study measures the HL of pregnant women and explores its associated factors.
