Objective: To construct a matrix of interprofessional competencies produced in Multiprofessional Health Residencies in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte.
Method: Qualitative study, with a deductive method for theorization and construction of the competency matrix. It was organized into three phases: theoretical, field and analytical phase.
Purpose: Evidence from animal and human studies demonstrates that cortical regions play a key role in autonomic modulation with a differential role for some brain regions located in the left and right brain hemispheres. Known as autonomic asymmetry, this phenomenon has been demonstrated by clinical observations, by experimental models, and currently by combined neuroimaging and direct recordings of sympathetic nerve activity. Previous studies report peculiar autonomic-mediated cardiovascular alterations following unilateral damage to the left or right insula, a multifunctional key cortical region involved in emotional processing linked to autonomic cardiovascular control and featuring asymmetric characteristics.

It is, however, unknown whether childhood overweight may already display alterations of circulating AA. (2) Methods: We used liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)-targeted metabolomics to determine plasma concentrations of AA and AA-related molecules in 36 children aged 7-12 years with normal weight or overweight.

Material And Methods: Cross-sectional study. Each subject was asked if they had a first-degree relative diagnosed with glaucoma.
Introduction: Early diagnosis of lung cancer (LC) is crucial to improve survival rates. Radiomics models hold promise for enhancing LC diagnosis. This study assesses the impact of integrating a clinical and a radiomic model based on deep learning to predict the malignancy of pulmonary nodules (PN).

The present study aimed to determine centesimal composition of wheat bran, obtain enzymatic extract that converts wheat bran into wheat glucose syrup (WGS), produce rice flakes cereal bars (RFCB), and evaluate their nutritional composition and the presence of functional compounds, as well as their antioxidant potential. Determination of centesimal composition of wheat bran demonstrated its nutritional potential.

In terms of the conservation of endangered species, iPSC technology presents itself as a viable alternative for the manipulation of target genetics without compromising specimens. Although iPSCs have been successfully generated for various species, their application in nonmammalian species, particularly avian species, requires further in-depth investigation to cover the diversity of wild species at risk and their different protocol requirements.

CHIK is usually a self-limiting condition; however, extra-articular manifestations present as atypical illness in a minority of patients. These atypical features may mimic other conditions and potentially distract physicians from the true diagnosis.

Objective: To determine if maternal height in nulliparous women influences pregnancy results in twin pregnancies.
Material And Methods: Retrospective cohort analysis evaluating twin pregnancies followed at Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Central, between 1995 and 2020. Of the 2900 pregnancies followed in that period, 886 nulliparous women with dichorionic twin pregnancies were selected.

The literature reveals the application of the laws of thermodynamics for predicting life span and the effects of the physical activity level on longevity. But the vastly simplified literature models seem to suggest a reduction in duration of life with increased activity level, which is the opposite of medical recommendations, that means that exercises increase the longevity. The main objectives of this paper are to re-present the previous model, check and confirm the previous results and improve the model by formulating a simplified phenomenological relation between life span, specific entropy generation of the body (SEG-life, in MJ/kg.

However, adhesion between ceramics and the composite resin is challenging and how different protocols influence adhesion is unclear.
Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze the influence of different protocols on repairing glass-ceramic surfaces with composite resins.
The current methods applied to material screening for adsorption-based heat pumps are based on a fixed set of temperatures or their independent variation, providing a limited, insufficient, and unpractical evaluation of different adsorbents. This work proposes a novel strategy for the simultaneous optimization and material screening in the design of adsorption heat pumps by implementing a meta-heuristic approach, particle swarm optimization (PSO). The proposed framework can effectively evaluate variable and broad operation temperature intervals to search for viable zones of operation for multiple adsorbents at once.

Research findings on the psychological foundations of negative forms of social influence that can lead to bystander behavior are translated into tools that individuals can use in their daily lives. Habits of wise and effective helping behavior are learned, modeled, and encouraged through the training of the "heroic imagination.

Methods: Here we compare membrane properties of layer 5 (L5) pyramidal cells (PCs) and Martinotti cells expressing the cholinergic receptor nicotinic alpha 2 subunit gene () of the primary auditory cortex (A1) from control and noise-exposed (4-18 kHz, 90 dB, 1.
Introduction: Current evidence suggests the emergence of a novel syndrome (long COVID syndrome) due to sequels and persistent COVID-19 symptoms. Respiratory muscle training improves respiratory muscle strength, exercise capacity, diaphragm thickness, and dyspnea, especially in patients with decreased respiratory muscle strength. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a protocol for home-based inspiratory muscle training to improve respiratory muscle strength, dyspnea, and quality of life of patients post-COVID-19.

The increasing consumption of processed and fast food and healthy packaged food has upraised the investment in new flavoring agents and consequently in molecules with flavoring properties. In this context, this work brings up a scientific machine learning (SciML) approach to address this product engineering need.

In this study, we analysed CT images collected from cynomolgus and rhesus macaques following exposure to ultra-low dose (Mtb) aerosols, and monitored them for 16 weeks to evaluate the impact of prior intradermal or inhaled BCG vaccination on the progression of lung disease. All lesions found (2553) were classified according to their size and we subclassified small micronodules (<4.
